The winter-season in Fortnite has been really joyful so far. Epic Games has also been very generous this season and they didn’t back out from giving away free items to players. The “14 Days of Fortnite” in December rewarded players with 14 free items, and when some players felt that they were left out because they couldn’t complete the challenges in time, Fortnite decided to bring back the event for a whole week. Talking about free items, Epic Games has added a free emote to the game which can be unlocked by a following a short procedure.

How To Enable The Two-Factor Authentication
You probably would’ve seen the Boogiedown emote in the matchmaking lobby because it has a funky rhythm to it and it is hard not to notice it. The dance move in this emote involves a lot of body movement and hopping. In case you never saw this emote, here it is:

This dance move in this emote was actually the winning submission in the Boogiedown event. The event was held by Epic Games and players from all over the world submitted their unique dance move. And that’s where this emote gets its name from.

Anyways, to unlock this emote, you have to follow some relatively easy steps from your Epic Games account. In order to get this emote, you have to enable the Two-Factor Authentication feature on your account. To enable this feature, you simply have to sign into your Epic Games account and head to “Account” section of your account. Once there, go to the “PASSWORD & SECURITY” tab and scroll down. There you’ll find two kinds of 2FA methods. Just choose any one of them and you’re good to go.

What Does Two-Factor Authentication Do?
What 2FA does is that it adds an extra layer of security to your account. When you try to access your Epic Games account after enabling this feature, you’ll have to enter a unique code sent to your email. This way someone else cannot access your account without your permission.

Once you’re done with this procedure, you’ll be rewarded with the Boogiedown emote in Fortnite: Battle Royale and if you own STW version of the game, you’ll get the following items it:

50 Armory Slots
10 Backpack Slots
1 Legendary Troll Stash Llama
That’s it for this free emote and if you’re struggling with the “14 Days of Fortnite” challenges, be sure to check out our guides on each challenge here.
