The last FC 26 event of 2025, the Winter Wildcards event, officially ended on January 2nd, 2026. But don't worry, because a new event, the Time Warp event, is coming!
"Time Warp," a brand new event in FC 26, will be launched after the Winter Wildcards event and will last for two weeks.
By taking players back in time, the event aims to let them relive the outstanding players in football and FUT history. Modern players will be featured at their past performance levels. Before the event started, some leaked cards included two of the greatest players of all time, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, celebrating their careers at Barcelona and Juventus. When does the FC 26 Time Warp promotion event start?
The next FC 26 event, "Time Warp," will start on January 2nd, 2026. New events always start at 6 PM GMT/10 AM PT on Fridays. This Time Warp event will include two teams, with the second team being released on January 9th, 2026. After the promotion ends, the highly anticipated Team of the Year selection event will likely take place on January 16th.
What details should be noted about the FC 26 Time Warp event?
"Time Warp" is a flashback event in FC 26, which is said to feature cards inspired by players' past season highlights and FUT history. The player selection criteria are based on the first major promotional event in EA FC 26's Ultimate Team, focusing on players who are about to retire, such as Messi and Suarez. These cards can not only add to your club's roster but also enhance team strength by boosting attributes and improving chemistry.
According to leaked information, all cards will have full chemistry points. So there's no need to worry about any changes in chemistry points after adding players to your team. Players can expect packs to contain a selection of active and legendary players, as usual, with some players also obtainable through Squad Building Challenges (SBCs) and objectives.
