Diablo 4: When Season 2 begins, you can actually fight a world boss

There are a few issues with Diablo 4 that perhaps aren't getting enough attention. It's a spark that Blizzard has been sparking since launch, and especially since the start of Season 1.

The frequency with which world bosses appear and their mysterious schedules have made them something of a meme. Unless you try to rely on community-created world boss trackers, you probably won't come across them naturally.

World bosses are one of the rare MMO-like features in gaming, appearing in some of Diablo 4's arenas and bringing players together for large-scale battles. However, since the game doesn't reveal when or where they appear, most players rarely get to fight them. I've played Diablo 4 for over 100 hours, and I've only fought two of the three monsters once.

That may be changing soon, as Diablo 4 boss Rod Ferguson took to Twitter to hint at some changes to the world boss mechanic. Two different people asked Ferguson if there were timers planned for world bosses, or if spawn rates would be adjusted to accommodate different time zones around the world.

What's his answer? This will allow people to watch upcoming developer live streams. Interesting.

"Change how often the world boss appears so that the time of day changes slightly depending on the day. The world boss is always there, such as when you are working, cooking, or sleeping. Helps with cooking. If you do When you’re the boss every day,” asked Twitter user theshallowwaves Fergusson.

He replied: "Please open the development stream..."

Ferguson was apparently referring to two upcoming live broadcasts. The first round will take place on Wednesday, October 4. The two-hour show details the new mechanics of Season 2, as well as new quality-of-life changes for Season 2.

Blizzard will host an informal campfire chat on October 10th. Blizzard designers explain the new changes to classes, damage types, and loot/item optimizations coming to the new season.

Season of Blood for Diablo 4 will be available on October 17th.
