EA FC 26 Festival of Football Guide: Free Maradona, Journey of Nations Rewards, Token Shop & Evolution Upgrades
Jun 05, 2026more >>With 2026 World Cup fast approaching, EA Sports FC 26 has officially launched one of its most significant content updates of the year: Festival of Football World Cup-themed event. Unlike past updates focused on the season pass and regular events, in Festival of Football, players can continuously progress and earn rewards across almost all major modes.
EA FC 26 clearly hopes to revitalize Ultimate Team player activity through World Cup fever. For players who have already completed their season objectives and are awaiting new content, this is undoubtedly one of the most worthwhile large-scale events in FC 26 in recent months.

As the core content of the entire Festival of Football update, Journey of Nations has officially kicked off this World Cup event.
New Event Launch
The biggest core content of this update comes from Journey of Nations mission system. EA FC 26 divides the event into multiple regions, including North America, South America, Europe, and Africa, based on World Cup host regions and the football culture of various countries around the world.
You need to use players from the corresponding country and region to complete designated objectives and earn rewards by continuously progressing through the mission lines. Unlike previous FUT 26 events that relied solely on accumulating rewards through matches, this event emphasizes national team composition and regional themed challenges, offering a richer overall gameplay experience.
Currently, North American mission line is the first to be available. You'll need to complete basic missions such as scoring goals, assists, and victories using players from United States, Canada, Mexico, and other CONCACAF regions. Most objectives can be completed in any mode of FUT 26, including friend matches, so the overall difficulty isn't too high.
Generous Rewards
Completing the entire Journey of Nations North American mission will reward you with the highly rated legendary striker Hugo Sánchez. Considering his excellent speed, shooting, and dribbling abilities, this card has considerable practical value.
However, North America is just the beginning. EA FC 26 has confirmed that mission content for other continents will be released in the coming weeks. Completing all collection objectives across all five continents will reward you with FOF Maradona and additional cosmetic bonuses.
Based on the information currently available, FOF Maradona not only boasts top-tier attributes but also possesses multiple high-value PlayStyle+ skills, making him a strong contender to become one of the strongest free players in FUT 26.
As you progress through the missions, you'll not only earn FC 26 Coins, special players, and Evolution upgrade items, but also accumulate a large amount of event tokens.
Evolution rewards from Journey of Nations are equally attractive, directly boosting your player card's overall rating by four to five points, while also adding significant amounts of key attributes and new PlayStyle+ skills.
Judging from FC 26 demonstrations, some upgraded players even reach strength comparable to top-tier special cards. Compared to many past Evolution upgrades that only slightly enhanced the game, this World Cup event offers a significantly more aggressive upgrade, better aligning with the overall player power spike at the end of FC 26 season.
New Token System
Besides the abundant rewards from Journey of Nations, the really significant change in this update is the new token system. Previously, players primarily relied on opening packs and advancing through season ranks to acquire high-value rewards. However, in Festival of Football event, tokens have become the core resource throughout the entire Journey of Nations.
You can continuously earn tokens by completing event objectives, participating in Division Rivals, FUT Champions, and other designated modes, and then redeem them for the rewards you need in the dedicated token shop. Compared to the relatively random reward acquisition methods of the past, the new FC 26 token system offers you a more substantial and stable option.
Based on the current event content, Division Rivals is undoubtedly one of the most stable and cost-effective sources of tokens. You can easily obtain a considerable number of token rewards without having to invest a lot of time to climb Champions rankings as in the past. This user-friendly reward mechanism lowers the barrier to entry, making the entire event experience easier and more sustainable.

As you accumulate tokens, you can redeem various high-value content in the shop. The currently available reward pool includes high-rated player selection packs, rare resource packs, and various World Cup-themed rewards. Among these, high-rated player packs remain extremely valuable for strengthening your squad and completing SBCs, making them your priority redemption target.
For players willing to participate long-term, the most attractive reward is undoubtedly the legendary player bonus. EA has prepared several legendary players, including Gianluca Zambrotta, Andrea Pirlo, Michael Owen, and Emmanuel Petit, for players to redeem.
By consistently participating in FIFA 26 events and accumulating tokens, you can eventually reliably obtain these high-value legendary cards without relying entirely on luck.
Besides traditional resource rewards, EA FC 26 has also added World Cup-themed Path to Glory dynamic player cards to token shop. These players not only have excellent initial attributes but also receive upgrades based on their performance in real-World Cup matches. They can immediately join FC 26 starting lineup and also have long-term appreciation and growth potential.
While the quality of subsequent event content remains to be seen, at least based on the content released in the first week, this Festival of Football update has successfully injected new vitality into EA Sports FC 26 and given many players who had left a reason to return to Ultimate Team.

Stop Relying on Bruiser! FC 26 Best 4-4-1-1 Tactics to Fix World's Game Update Defensive Gaps
Jun 04, 2026more >>Players, EA FC 26 has released one of its biggest updates to date, significantly adjusting Team Press, Intercept success rate, and AI defensive behavior. After the update, the importance of Bruiser ability has noticeably decreased; the true determinant of defensive quality is now the size and height of the center back.
Now that it is June, almost all defenders have built-in Intercept, so our defensive strategies need to change. This leads to our discussion of the 4-4-1-1 formation to employ after FC 26 World's Game Update.
Player Style Priorities
For wingers, the three most crucial play styles after the update are, in order: Rapid Plus (facilitates explosive runs down the flanks), Finesse Shot Plus (extremely high-quality shots after cutting inside), and the five-star Weak Foot (facilitates cutting inside and shooting towards the far corner).
These three ability combinations will allow you to consistently score goals in EA FC 26.
For midfielders, it's best to avoid purely offensive or purely defensive players and instead choose well-rounded Box-to-Box midfielders.
Of particular note is that Tiki Taka Plus and Incisive Pass have become extremely important after the patch, and it is not recommended to use midfielders without these two abilities.

For the attacking midfielder position, the best ability combination is Incisive Pass as the first priority, followed by Finesse Shot and Technical Plus.
As for forwards, a five-star Weak Foot is key to success, and it works best when combined with Finesse Shot Plus or Low Driven Shot Plus. Tiki Taka, Incisive Pass, and First Touch are secondary or optional abilities, and abilities like Quick Step are not important for forwards but are crucial for wingers.
However, to achieve the above playstyle, you'd better carefully manage your FC 26 coins at this stage.
Custom Tactics and Adjustments to Defensive Approach
The biggest tactical change after FC 26 update lies in the selection of values for Defensive Approach. Furthermore, because the update weakened Team Press and high-pressure AI tactics, making it easier for players with stats above 61 to leave huge gaps in the defense.
Therefore, it is recommended that players use a 55 Defensive Approach from the first minute of the match; this should be the optimal value.
Only after the 55th to 60th minute, if you are still struggling to create chances and urgently need to equalize, can you temporarily upgrade to High or Maximum Defensive Approach.
Regarding attacking organization style, Counter remains poor and inconsistent. Short Passing is usable, but Balanced is a better choice.
Because Balanced combines the close passing and timely forward runs of Short Passing, it activates the automatic runs of the left and right midfielders and forwards, while also bringing players closer together to execute Tiki-Taka combinations.
Specific Player Roles and Responsibilities
Goalkeeper
Choose Sweeper Keeper and focus on Balanced. This allows the goalkeeper to proactively rush out of the penalty area to clear when the opponent launches a counter-attack or sends a through ball.
Center Back
Always maintain the Defender role; this is the safest choice after numerous patches.
Fullback
We offer two options: If you consider your defensive abilities average (e.g., in the 10th to 3rd tier), set both fullbacks to Defender to strengthen the backline. However, if your goal is to reach the elite tier or achieve 50 wins in a single week, set both fullbacks to Versatile.
With this setting, when one fullback participates in the attack, the other fullback will automatically drop back to cover, covering the space in front of the center back, thus achieving a dynamic balance between attack and defense.
Midfield Combination
Both midfielders in front of the center back should use the Box-to-Box role.
The more defensively oriented midfielder should be set to Box-to-Box, Balanced; the more offensively oriented midfielder should also be set to Box-to-Box, but with the added Ball Winning option. This allows them to press more aggressively on counter-attacks, and if they lose possession in the attacking third, they will quickly track back to cover the area in front of the center back.
Wingers
Here, we can clearly avoid options like Wide Playmaker and Wide Midfielder, as they are practically useless in a 4-4-1-1 formation.
The simplest and most efficient setting is Inside Forward, which allows the left and right wingers to automatically cut inside and make diagonal runs into the opponent's penalty area. You only need to deliver through balls to give them one-on-one opportunities or cut inside for long-range shots towards the far corner.
Attacking Midfielder
The best role is Playmaker, Balanced. Half-Winger is completely not recommended. While Shadow Striker is usable, it disrupts the connection between the attacking midfielder and the two midfielders, therefore it shouldn't be used in a 4-4-1-1 formation.
Forward
The only efficient option is Advanced Forward, Attack; there are no other alternatives.
Given that FC 27 is only three months away from release, and this update is likely to be the last major patch for EA Sports FC 26. Therefore, this 4-4-1-1 formation tactic will also be the final version of this game. If you strictly follow this tactic, it will be difficult for you to lose a match in Champions.

EA FC 26 Transforms Career Mode with World's Game Update | More National Teams and Full 48 Team World Cup Arrive
Jun 02, 2026more >>Since EA FC series parted ways with FIFA, the official system has been limited to populating Career Mode with fictitious teams and tournaments. You can become a national team coach and participate in unrealistic tournaments.
Due to the lack of official authorization, this mode is incomplete, resulting in insufficient teams to fill the schedule. International team management functionality has been largely ignored for years. But World's Game update changes all that.

World's Game Update
With World Cup approaching, EA FUT 26 decided to create an unofficial version of the tournament. But more importantly, the developer significantly increased the number of national teams available in FC 26. In the past two years you only had 29 national teams, whereas now the game features nearly 60.
As a result, players no longer face a small-scale World Cup with only 24 teams; instead, they get the full tournament format that you will see this summer. 48 teams will be able to compete in the same event. This is something that every FC 26 player and football fan can look forward to.
Team Expansion
Before this patch, there were actually only 6 teams from North America, South America, Africa, and Asia in FC 26. Now that number has tripled to over 20.
In South America, six national teams are now available: Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, and Uruguay join Argentina, which has been in the game since launch. North America has gained Canada, Haiti, Mexico, Panama, and the United States.
In Africa, Cape Verde appears for the first time in Career Mode, while South Africa, Senegal, Ghana, Congo, and Tunisia have also been added to the game.
As for Central Asia, even Uzbekistan now appears in Career Mode. The average age of its population is around 23, and the country is producing many talented young players – all of which is now directly integrated into Youth Academy System.
You can develop players from Uzbekistan or Cape Verde in your youth academy and watch them graduate into the real national team system. In this update, only three of the newly added national teams actually come from Europe. No matter which region you are from, you will be able to use the countries and teams you are more familiar with.
Players Return
The benefits of adding these national teams are not limited to international competitions. They also bring back a large number of players you want to use, such as Neymar, whom many players have been hoping for. Thanks to this update, a great many players have been restored to Career Mode, and this is merely a side effect of adding more nations.
The developer likely made this update mainly because they wanted Neymar back in Ultimate Team. By adding Neymar, many players hope to use him in FC 26 no matter how many FC 26 coins he would require, and this would undoubtedly generate substantial revenue for the developer.
Quality-of-Life Improvements
Another very good change is that you can now manage a national team from day one. However, you still cannot be solely an international manager. You must manage both a club and a national team simultaneously.
You can now directly choose which country to coach, rather than having to reload a save on a specific date and wait for the right job offer to appear – this is undoubtedly an improvement. It is the accumulation of small quality-of-life improvements like this that makes Career Mode better.
Missing Competitions and National Teams
Nevertheless, national team football still lacks some fairly important elements and is not 100% perfect. Major regional competitions such as African Cup of Nations and Asian Cup have essentially been removed.
This may be because the update focuses mainly on World Cup, but those other tournaments are equally important for national team management. Without them, you are essentially just waiting for the next World Cup four years later.
Africa is still missing some important national teams: Egypt, Nigeria, and Cameroon have not been included. South America still lacks Chile and Peru because those teams failed to qualify for World Cup. North America is missing Jamaica. Europe also remains quite incomplete, with 27 out of 52 UEFA national teams around the world still absent from FUT 26.
However, many of these countries already have a large number of players in the database. For example, with Egypt, Jamaica, and Nigeria, you could easily assemble a national team using those players. Perhaps FC 26 will continue to update and improve World's Game during World Cup.
Second Nationalities
If you have been following some other football databases, you may have noticed that second nationalities are a fairly important element in some of them. The developer might introduce a mechanic for players to switch nationalities, as this often happens in real life, and this would be part of a long-term plan to improve national team management. However, there is currently no concrete evidence that they will do so.
Even without these features, this is still the best FC 26 has performed since around FIFA 18. Players can finally choose to have 48 teams compete in a tournament instead of 24. The national team selection pool has expanded significantly, and many players have been re-added to the game. Hopefully, this is part of a genuine, ongoing cycle of improvement, rather than just a one-time update to boost sales before the release of EA FC 27 in September.

FC 26 Prime Heroes Promo Explained: Every Way to Earn Prime Hero Cards
Jun 01, 2026more >>Prime Heroes promo has launched in FC 26 and will last for about a week, with the highlight undoubtedly being the 91+ Prime Hero Pack.
Prime Hero cards are special versions of regular hero cards, with permanent rating and attribute boosts, showcasing the absolute peak of a player's career. They can significantly improve team chemistry and top-tier attributes, enough to completely transform your lineup.
These card attribute boosts are permanent and will not change until the end of the game cycle, meaning they cannot be further improved through performance-based upgrades.
This article will provide a guide on obtaining Prime Hero cards in EA FC 26 Prime Heroes promo.

During this FC 26 event, you can obtain Prime Hero cards through four main methods: completing objectives, completing Squad Building Challenge (SBC), opening packs, and Championship Mode.
Objectives: Prime Heroes Live Events
Prime Heroes Events 1 and 2 have already been released. Prime Heroes Events 3 and 4 have not yet had their specific challenge content released but will be released in the next few days. Players just need to wait.
To participate in any Prime Heroes limited-time event objectives, your starting eleven must contain at least one Prime Hero card. If you don't already have a Prime Hero card, you can obtain a limited-time hero loan by completing specific loan objectives, or you can permanently add a Prime Hero to your club by completing Prime Heroes SBC.
Prime Heroes Event 1
Event 1 contains four specific objectives that must be completed in Squad Battles or Divisional Matches:
- The first objective requires you to have at least one Prime Hero player in your starting eleven and complete 3 matches. Completing this objective rewards five 83+ Rare Gold Player Packs.
- The second objective requires you to have at least one Prime Hero player in your starting eleven and win 2 matches. Completing this objective rewards three 84+ Rare Gold Player Packs.
- The third objective requires you to have at least one Prime Hero player in your starting eleven and score at least 2 goals in a single match. Completing this objective rewards three 85+ Rare Gold Player Packs.
- The fourth task requires you to win a match using a 4-4-2 (2) formation, without changing the formation during the match, and with at least one Tier 1 hero in your starting eleven. Upon completion, you will receive five 84+ Rare Gold Player Packs and 500 Season Points.
Completing all four tasks in Event 1 will earn you a Pablo Aimar Prime Hero card.

Prime Heroes Event 2
Event 2 is similar in structure to Event 1, but with different requirements, as follows:
- The first task requires you to play 4 matches with one Tier 1 hero in your starting eleven.
- The second task requires you to win 3 matches with one Tier 1 hero in your starting eleven.
- The third task requires you to score one goal in each of 3 different matches with one Tier 1 hero in your starting eleven.
- The fourth task requires you to win a match using a 4-1-2-1-2 (2) formation, without changing the formation, and your starting lineup must include a top-tier hero.
Completing Activity Two will earn you a Fara Williams Prime Hero card.

Championship Mode
Players participating in Championship Mode will also receive a separate Prime Hero Pack, which rewards players based on their performance, as follows:
- Winning 2 matches in Championship Mode will earn you a pack reward.
- Winning 4 matches in Championship Mode will earn you an additional pack reward.
- Winning 6 matches in Championship Mode will earn you a high-value pack reward.
- Scoring 1 goal in each of 5 different matches in Championship Mode will also help improve your progress.
Squad Building Challenges
FUT 26 During this event, SBCs are divided into two categories: Daily Puzzle SBCs (low cost, reward packs) and Player SBCs (high cost, guaranteed Prime Hero card). In addition, there is a special Showdown SBC related to real-world charity matches.
SBCs offer a guaranteed way to obtain specific Squad Building Challenges (SBCs) by submitting a player roster that meets specific requirements. However, different SBCs have different deadlines, so please check them carefully.
Packs and the Transfer Market
With the rotation of All-Season Team Packs, SBC cards are now available in standard packs in the shop. You can trade packs using coins; SBC cards can be found in any pack containing player cards, including free packs. Alternatively, you can also acquire SBC cards directly from the market using coins.
If you currently lack funds, you can choose to buy FC 26 Coins from M8X.com, which offers the fastest and safest way to obtain them without waiting.
Reward Explanation
Most objective rewards during Prime Heroes promo are non-tradable, meaning they cannot be sold on the transfer market. You can use them as materials to complete other Squad Building Challenges (SBCs) or choose suitable ones to add to your roster.
If a goal doesn't show as completed, the most common reason is that you didn't have a top-tier hero in your starting lineup during the match, as each mission requires at least one top-tier hero on the field. Loaned heroes also count as long as they are in your active lineup.
That concludes the guide on how to obtain top-tier hero cards in FC 26 Prime Heroes promo. If you haven't started yet, hurry up! You only have one week, so go try it now!

FC 26 Ultimate Team 2026: Top 5 TOTS Players Worth Every Coin Right Now
May 18, 2026more >>The 2026 Team of the Season has totally changed the Ultimate Team meta for FC 26. There have been top-quality squads that ruled supreme for some time, but now they struggle to compete at the top. This year's Team of the Season runs from April 17th to May 22nd and includes six weeks of league releases that feature some of the best-rated and game-changing cards from the entire FC 26 cycle. With the market shifting almost every day, it is more important than ever to know where to put your coin investment.

What Makes a Player Worth It in FUT 2026 Right Now?
TOTS cards in this year's FC 26 meta have value beyond large overall ratings and are only worth what people are willing to pay. PlayStyle+ combinations have taken on increasing significance in determining high-tier performance, as most Team of the Season cards are given 3 PlayStyle+ Traits, and elite-tier names like Messi and Modrić can have as many as 4. While Pace remains important given the increased speed of play during the TOTS cycle, Chemistry Flexibility and Transfer Market Stability can significantly impact a card's long-term value. The newly introduced Max-90 Evolution System added another level of importance to cards that fit into popular Evo paths, as well as to those valued for their relationships to their basic attributes. With that said, here are the 5 highest-valued TOTS cards at this time.
The 5 FC 26 Players Worth Every Coin
The following is a list of the five FC 26 players who represent the most valuable use of coins in the gaming community:
Erling Haaland
Haaland is a candidate for the strongest striker option in FC 26, as the Premier League TOTS deadline approaches on April 24th. With a combination of physicality and a shooting rating of 97, his ability to finish shots with accuracy is unparalleled, making him one of the best finishers to use during this gaming meta.
Kylian Mbappé
Due to his pace, movement, and flexible positioning within the game, Mbappé continues to be a top-tier option across the FC 26 eSport community. The current TOTS for Mbappé has 99 pace/high kick and an overall score of 96 (the expected La Liga TOTS; due on 15 May) offers players the opportunity to have one of the best attacking cards available in the entire game.
Lamine Yamal
Yamal's TOTS card has quickly become one of the biggest breakout cards of 2026; with his elite level of agility and exceptional dribbling ability on the field, he will provide players great value if played in conjunction with a La Liga chemistry link. He also offers great potential for players to earn a return on investment, given the value he is currently providing relative to the market value of his TOTS card.
Virgil van Dijk
Despite the presence of top-tier defenders such as TOTS Saliba, Virgil van Dijk is still the top defender available in FUT. His Anticipate+ PlayStyle and excellent physicality make him a very strong defensive option right now, given that top-end defensive options tend to hold their value longer than those at other positions after TOTS.
Lautaro Martínez
He is one of the best values on the overall marketplace right now. His 97-rated Serie A TOTS card offers elite finishing and positioning at a significantly lower price point.
These five cards are more than just temporary TOTS hype picks; each one genuinely fits the current FC 26 meta and brings long-term value to competitive Ultimate Team squads. Whether it is Haaland's elite finishing, Mbappé's versatility, or Yamal's breakout impact, these are the types of players that can immediately change how a team performs in FUT Champs and Division Rivals.

EA FC 26: Best CAMs to Sign on Career Mode for Every Budget
May 18, 2026more >>EA Sports FC 26 is in full swing.
Ultimate Team may be the main focus of the game, but Career Mode has a special place in our hearts. That's because you can start whenever you want, as many times as you want.
No matter who you're managing the premise and aim of Manager Career - as it's now called - remains the same. Winning the league and continental trophies, no matter where you start or who you manage.
We've covered centre-backs, strikers, wingers, goalkeepers and CDMs you need to sign in Manager Career, and now it's time to move onto the attacking midfielders. It's an interesting position as not every team will play with a No.10. But in the real world some of the best players play through the middle. And they command hefty fees.

But who do you go for on EAFC 26? We've taken a look at some of the top CAMs available to buy in your first window, across an array of transfer fees to make your job a tad easier.
We're just looking at players available in the first window of Men's Career Mode here, with finances in Women's Career Mode much different.
Values and presence of release clauses may vary per save, while availability may vary depending on strictness of transfers.
Under £5m
Abdellah Ouazane (Ajax)
- Initial EAFC 26 overall: 62
- Potential EAFC 26 overall: 86
- Value: £1.1m
We start our journey in the Eredivisie, with Abdellah Ouazane. It may be a name you recognise already, as part of Ajax's squad. He's only 16 years old at the start of Manager Career and has an initial Overall of 62. That's not going to get you very far if you're higher up the rankings, but he could do a job for certain levels. Ouazane boasts four-star Skill Moves and 67 Dribbling, with his highest attribute at the start being his 75 Pace.
This is all about the promise though, and Ouazane can grow to 86 Overall if you manage him right. Despite the value of over £1m, Ajax will accept around £900k with little resistance. That's pretty good.
Wael Mohya (Borussia Monchengladbach)
- Initial EAFC 26 overall: 70
- Potential EAFC 26 overall: 85
- Value: £3.1m
Moving over to Germany, Wael Mohya's initial Overall of 70 makes him slightly more suitable to a wider selection of teams. Although we're still talking those lower down the rankings. Mohya has 75 Dribbling and 71 Pace, with four-star Weak Foot and three-star Skill Moves. He also boasts 75 Agility and 72 Short Passing, so there's a player there already. And he's only 16.
Mohya has the potential to grow to 85, which isn't the highest. But that's still a good rating for teams of a certain level. And you can shift him for profit if/when you eventually outgrow him. Borussia Monchengladbach are happy to let Mohya go for less than his value, at around £2.4m.
Dro Fernandez (PSG)
- Initial EAFC 26 overall: 70
- Potential EAFC 26 overall: 86
- Value: £3.1m
Dro Fernandez is enjoying a breakthrough season with Paris Saint-Germain, which has made a mark on the virtual world too. The Spaniard is listed as a central midfielder but he can also play CAM, and will be a good option there thanks to his 75 Dribbling. Dro starts Manager Career aged 17 with an Overall of 70, so he's a decent option. Other key attributes include 73 Agility, 73 Vision and 75 Short Passing. There's a player there.
The game knows it, with Dro having the potential to grow to 86 Overall. That will likely be increased even more in EAFC 27. But PSG are happy to let Dro go for around £3m. Make the most of it while you can.
Gilberto Mora (Free Agent)
- Initial EAFC 26 overall: 73
- Potential EAFC 26 overall: 87
- Value: £6m
We're going to include this as a bit of a bonus selection. If you strike early in your Manager Career, you could find Gilberto Mora as a free agent. The Mexican plays for Liga MX club Tijuana, but that's not a playable league on Manager Career. So their players are up for grabs. Mora has an initial Overall of 73, which includes 74 Dribbling and 72 Passing. He has 74 Attacking Position, 77 Vision and 75 Shot Passing. All very good attributes at just 16. Mora also has three-star Skill Moves and Weak Foot.
As mentioned, Mora won't cost you a single penny in terms of transfer fee. But his wages will cut out quite a few of the lower-down teams.
£5m – £20m
Kees Smit (AZ)
- Initial EAFC 26 overall: 74
- Potential EAFC 26 overall: 88
- Value: £8.5m
This feels like a little gem. Kees Smit is the latest Dutch wonderkid and does have the capability to play across the midfield. But we'll recommend him as a CAM. The AZ star has an initial overall of 74, which is wonderfully complemented by his four-star Skill Moves and Weak Foot. In terms of attributes, Smit's Dribbling is his highest on 78, with his Passing at 72. But all six of his attributes are 60s or higher. That includes 67 Physical which will be so important in the early stages of his carer.
As always, Smit's main selling point is his potential. The Dutchman can grow to 88 Overall, and will be an absolute star. Despite this, AZ will let him go for his value of £8.5m with a small sell-on clause.
Lennart Karl (Bayern Munich)
- Initial EAFC 26 overall: 75
- Potential EAFC 26 overall: 88
- Value: £11m
When EAFC 26 first came out, Lennart Karl was a very cheap option. He's still relatively cheap, but the German has enjoyed a big boost. He now has an initial Overall of 75, aged only 17. His 81 Dribbling includes 89 Balance and 84 Agility, which helps for those wanting to weave through opposition defences. And he can beat his man too, with four-star Skill Moves. Karl also boasts 74 Short Passing and 71 Shooting, which will all improve. You'll want to work on his Physical stats, though.
All of Karl's attributes will improve. Especially as he reaches his potential Overall of 88, becoming a very good level CAM. Despite the promise, Bayern will accept around £12m for Karl, which feels like a steal even if it's higher than his value.
Paul Wanner (PSV)
- Initial EAFC 26 overall: 75
- Potential EAFC 26 overall: 86
- Value: £10.5m
We're not moving up the price range, because there are a lot of options around this budget. But also not too many before you take a big step towards the bank-breakers. Paul Wanner starts Manager Career with an Overall of 75, so he's already at a decent level. That includes 76 Dribbling, which will go hand-in-hand with his four-star Skill moves. But he's a creator too, boasting 78 Short Passing, 75 Long Passing and 76 Vision. All pretty decent levels.
Wanner has the potential to grow to 86, becoming one of the better CAMs in the game. PSV are fierce negotiators, though, wanting around £12.1m. If you can't get Karl, Wanner's not too bad as an alternative.
£20m and above
Rodrigo Mora (Porto)
- Initial EAFC 26 overall: 77
- Potential EAFC 26 overall: 89
- Value: £21m
Now you won't see the likes of Jude Bellingham, Florian Wirtz or Cole Palmer here. We're not about that. But Rodrigo Mora is someone we will recommend. The Portuguese CAM has an initial Overall of 77 but is still only 18 at the start of Manager Career. He's another to boast four-star Skill Moves and Weak Foot, which go nicely in hand with his 79 Dribbling. That includes an incredible 92 Balance and 80 Ball Control. His Shooting of 66 isn't too bad, but you can work on that. Mora is another player who you will have to beef up a bit.
But, the potential. Mora can grow to 89 Overall, becoming one of the top CAMs in the game. And all without breaking the bank early on. But he will cost around £22.5m.
Oihan Sancet (Athletic Bilbao)
- Initial EAFC 26 overall: 82
- Potential EAFC 26 overall: 87
- Value: £34.5m
If you wan't someone a bit more ready-made, but still with potential to grow - without having to take out a massive loan - then Oihan Sancet could be your man. The Spaniard is now 25, and has an initial Overall of 82. So he'll get into the starting XIs of pretty much every team that needs a CAM to hit the ground running. He also boasts four-star Skill Moves and Weak Foot. Sancet's Dribbling is his best attribute at 83, but his experience as a striker also brings 81 Shooting. He'll be a fantastic shadow striker, especially with his 81 Physical.
Despite his age, Sancet can still grow to 87 Overall. So he can get better. But with the initial Overall and potential comes a high price tag. Athletic Bilbao will only accept around £44m for Sancet.
Kenan Yildiz (Juventus)
- Initial EAFC 26 overall: 82
- Potential EAFC 26 overall: 89
- Value: £52m
This one won't be a surprise. Kenan Yildiz has an initial Overall of 82, so again can immediately fit into a lot of teams. He can also play on the left wing if you so wish, but we're talking about his abilities as a CAM. Yildiz has 84 Dribbling and 84 Pace at the start of Manager Career, and the latter has a pretty even split between his Acceleration and Sprint Speed. His Shooting of 79 isn't bad either, nor is his 79 Finishing. And, best of all, Yildiz boast four-star Skill Moves and five-star Weak Foot.
You should know his potential is high. And Yildiz can grow to 89 Overall if you nurture him correctly. But Juventus know what they have on their hands. The value is already high, so you'll need to pay around £70m for Yildiz.

Ultimate Team Season 7 in FC 26: Best Milestone Rewards Guide
May 18, 2026more >>Season 7 of Ultimate Team brings a fresh rotation of milestone rewards, progression objectives, and seasonal tracks that can fast-track your squad's improvement. Whether you're a competitive FUT veteran or a casual player building a weekend squad, Season 7 prizes are designed to reward engagement across Squad Battles, Division Rivals, Weekend League equivalents, and live event challenges.
This guide distills the most valuable milestone rewards, explains how milestones are structured in S7, and delivers practical strategies to unlock top-tier items without wasting time or coins. You'll learn how to prioritize objectives, structure your match play, and make safe marketplace decisions to turn progress into a stronger starting XI.

How Season 7 Milestones Work?
Understanding the mechanics behind milestones is the first step to efficient progression. In Season 7, milestones typically fall into three categories:
- Performance-based (wins, goals, clean sheets)
- Engagement-based (logins, matches played, event participation)
- Progression-based (rank progression, seasonal XP, collections)
Key mechanics to know:
- Milestones can stack across modes - play different modes to maximize rewards.
- Some milestones are time-limited; prioritize those with expiry dates.
- Season tracks often gate high-value rewards behind cumulative XP or milestone counts.
Top Milestone Rewards in Season 7
Not all milestone rewards are created equal. Here's a breakdown of the most valuable categories to chase in Season 7 and why they matter for your club.
- Rare & Meta Players (Most Impactful)
- High-rated special cards and meta players are the fastest way to upgrade your squad. Milestones that reward:
- One-off high-rated players (90+ special cards)
Loan stars or guaranteed upgrade tokens are often the best return on time invested. These cards can immediately improve match outcomes and increase FUT Champions performance.
Packs, Tokens & Upgrade Materials
Packs and tokens provide flexibility. Large packs, rare player packs, or token bundles that can be converted into specific objectives are valuable because you control how to deploy them - squad upgrades, tradeable investments, or quick-sell liquidity.
Consumables, Coins & Small Rewards
While consumables and small coin rewards may feel less glamorous, they play a strategic role in squad maintenance and transfer market activity. Accumulated coins speed up trades and enable key purchases during market dips.
Progression Perks & Mission Unlocks
Seasonal progression perks such as XP multipliers, instant entry tokens, and mission unlocks can compound value over the whole season. Prioritize milestones that unlock further missions or multiply your XP gains.
How to Unlock Milestones Efficiently?
Time management is crucial. Use a mixed approach that balances high-yield tasks with low-effort objectives to maximize ROI for your playtime.
Create a Weekly Milestone Plan
Map out the weekly and daily milestones at the start of each week. Split them by difficulty and time cost:
- Quick wins (under 15 minutes)
- Medium tasks (30 - 90 minutes)
- Long commitments (Seasons, Rivals grind, Weekend equivalents)
Complete quick wins first to build momentum and generate small rewards that make medium tasks easier.
Rotate Game Modes Strategically
Some milestones require specific modes. Rotate through Squad Battles, Rivals, and Live Events to capture mode-specific rewards while keeping gameplay fresh. If a milestone is time-limited, prioritize the corresponding mode until you complete it.
Optimize Your Squad for Objectives
Tailor your lineup to the milestone. For goal-based objectives, pick high-attack players with chemistry and meta traits; for assists or specific actions, use players who consistently deliver those outcomes.
Squad Building & Manager Tips
Building a balanced squad is about value per coin and chemistry. Milestone-focused squads don't always require the most expensive players - rather, they require reliable players who fit your playstyle.
Value Players & Role Prioritization
Identify players who are cheap but effective for completing milestones. Often, players with high pace or crossing stats are cheaper and more efficient for objective completion than expensive all-rounders.
Effective Bench Usage
Use substitutes strategically during matches tied to milestones. Fresh legs can change match dynamics and help you achieve objective conditions late in games.
Manager Bonuses & Chemistry Links
Choose a manager and tactics that boost the chemistry for your objective players. Small chemistry improvements improve in-game performance, making milestone completion smoother.
Economy & Coin Strategies
Coins are the backbone of progression. Smart coin management lets you snap up bargains, complete SBCs, and field better squads for milestone completion. Below are practical strategies and when to consider buying coins vs. earning them.
Market Timing & Profit Windows
Watch the market for predictable patterns: promo drops, patch updates, and major esports weekends often create price volatility. Buy during low-activity windows and sell when demand spikes. Use small, recurring flips rather than large one-off investments to minimize risk.

EA Sports FC 26 Career Mode guide for building a top club
May 18, 2026more >>EA Sports 26 Career Mode is deeper than ever, and this guide will help you transform any club into a top-tier powerhouse. With these career mode tips, you will be able to create your own managerial dynasty.
The best team to rebuild in FC 26 looks set to be one of the biggest clubs on the planet. However, there are plenty of massive clubs that have fallen by the wayside in recent years, and they need your help.
We will walk you through the FC 26 scouting and development guide, too. This will allow you to make the most of each transfer window and whatever budget you may have. Whether it's signing hidden gems or global superstars, we have you covered.
And finally, the youth team. Developing your own talent is always satisfying, and this year is no different. For clubs with a limited budget, this is the best way to unearth the next world beater.

Best Career Mode clubs to rebuild in FC 26
You can't look much further than Manchester United in this department. A club in free fall, the once giants of English football are in desperate need of an overhaul. If you take on the challenge, you will be greeted with a huge budget and a bloated squad.
Funds might not be an issue, but managing the egos and game time of your players could prove a challenge. For even more of a challenge, take on the live start point and replace Ruben Amorim at the helm with their current league position.
Smaller sleeping giants lie in some of Europe's second tiers. Can you restore the likes of former Premier League champions Leicester, Champions League regulars Deportivo La Coruna or seven-time Bundesliga champions Schalke to their former glories?
To add an extra layer of difficulty, you can also toggle on a transfer embargo, adjust your budget or create an injury crisis at your chosen club. This additional nuance will truly make your save unique.
Smart transfer market strategies for success
Sell your surplus players. Any players in your squad that are over the age of 25 and not in your starting lineup, sell them. This will bring in a valuable transfer budget, free up wages, and allow younger players to develop faster.
Our second FC 26 career mode tip for the transfer market is to make the most of your wishlist. Ensuring you have players in mind to replace your existing squad in each position will help you manage any surprises.
Remember, this year we have unexpected events. Whether it's food poisoning affecting your squad on a matchday, an unfortunate injury, or transfer demand, you will need to be prepared for all eventualities.
Lastly, if you are joining a club on a limited budget, use the free agent market. There are some terrific players available this season, including the Netherlands' all-time record goalscorer Memphis Depay!
Developing youth talent and building for the future
This is the big one. You will automatically have one scout in your academy setup, along with a handful of young players. Check this first, as there may be a budding star in there already.
For the scouts, you want to hire your full allotment of scouts with the best judgement. Judgement impacts the quality of the players being scouted. A scout's experience will increase the number of players scouted per month.
You can go deep into the instructions on players, you want your youth scouts to find. However, this doesn't matter too much in the early stages of their development, as you can shape them into your desired playstyles and skillset with development plans.
Lastly, scouting locations. Limiting risk by selecting the likes of France, Germany, England, Brazil and Spain will give you the best chance of finding the next superstar.
Mastering tactics and team management
There are several elements to tactical play in FC 26 this year. With authentic gameplay, you can look to build up slower, use overloads, and dominate possession. If you prefer competitive gameplay, stick with the tactics you prefer in online game modes.
One of the first things you will be prompted to do in FC 26 Career Mode is to hire coaches. These will help your players adapt to your style of play and also reduce the time it takes them to improve.
These coaches will also come with tactical knowledge. Try to sign the best coaches first, and if they have great tactical knowledge in your area, that's an added bonus. The coaches will develop their skills to suit your tactics if you give them time.
As for team management, there is no need for an inflated squad. This reduces morale as players don't get enough game time to keep them happy. A small squad of first team players should be supported by promising youngsters to keep the balance perfect.
How to build a team like Leipzig or Salzburg?
One of the best FC 26 Career Mode tips we can give is to sign some lesser-known young superstars, develop them and sell them on for huge profits.
The likes of Erling Haaland, Christopher Nkunku and Dominik Szoboszlai have all trodden that path, eventually being sold to some of the biggest clubs in the world after shining at their respective Red Bull teams.
Right now at RB Leipzig, you have Antonio Nusa, Maarten Vandevoordt and El Chadaille Bitshiabu, all who boast high potential in FC 26. Red Bull Salzburg's squad is also packed with budding talent. Keep an eye out for Karim Konate, Joane Gadou, and Maurits Kjaergaard in the coming years.
Promoting young players is not only great for business, but exciting for fans too. Supporters love seeing one of their own thrive on the big stage, so if you are looking for a blueprint to follow, look no further than the Red Bull model.

How to become a champion in EA FC 26 Ultimate Team?
May 18, 2026more >>Ultimate Team (UT) still tops the charts in EA FC 26! In this mode, you build your dream squad over the course of the season. Since FC 26 Ultimate Team can look a bit overwhelming at first, this guide will help you get to grips with it. Follow these five tips, put together your ultimate team, and go for glory!
How chemistry works and why it's so important?
Once you've earned your first coins by winning matches and completing objectives, and are ready to start building your squad, there's one thing you need to understand first: chemistry.

How many chemis try points does a team have?
In previous editions you could reach up to 100 chemistry points. In FC 26, the maximum team chemistry is 33. This is made up of each player's individual chemistry rating (from 0 to 3). If every player has 3 chemistry, you'll go into the match with the perfect team chemistry of 33.
How is chemistry calculated?
A player's chemistry depends on his team-mates, based on three factors: nationality, league, and club. For example, two players from the same club and league will boost each other's chemistry. However, if the rest of your squad comes from entirely different leagues, clubs, and nations, that boost will be minimal. To get the best results, make sure your squad has shared links across these three areas.
Note that in FC 26, player links no longer need to be directly connected on the pitch. It doesn't matter if they're positioned next to one another or not - as long as they're in the line-up, their chemistry counts. That means, for example, a left-back and right-back from the same club can both contribute positively to your squad's chemistry.
Why Squad Building Challenges are worth it?
Squad Building Challenges (SBCs) play a major role in FC 26 Ultimate Team. In an SBC, you exchange players from your club for pre-set rewards. These rewards might be packs or specific players. Packs test your luck, while SBC player rewards are often unique, time-limited opportunities. They're always untradeable and only available for a set period.
That's why it's important to think carefully before completing a player SBC. Sites like FUTBIN will show you how much an SBC might cost, and also offer community-created solutions if you get stuck.
But don't forget: every player you submit has value — whether tradeable or not. So an SBC is never truly “free”, even if you didn't buy extra players to complete it.
Trading - the ultimate game changer
Once you've built up some coins and invested in your squad, you'll want to protect that value. Keeping an eye on the market and making the most of price swings is one of the most important skills in Ultimate Team.
How to trade successfully with patience?
Depending on new FC 26 Ultimate Team content released by EA Sports, card prices can sometimes crash dramatically. The key is not to panic. With expensive cards in particular, these dips are often temporary — after a short time, values bounce back.
So if you miss the best time to sell, don't offload your players in a panic. Wait for the market to settle. In fact, these dips can be great buying opportunities — whether for your own team or as investments.
Why Fridays matter most?
The most important time in FC 26 Ultimate Team is 7pm. That's when EA drops new content - SBCs, store packs and promo cards. Promos usually arrive at 7pm on Fridays, making it the key weekly event. If you can, always check UT news at this time - it could have a big impact on the market and on your squad.
Boosting your team with Icons and Heroes
Icons and Heroes are hugely popular in FC 26 Ultimate Team, both for their quality and the chemistry boosts they provide.
What makes Icons special?
Icons are legendary players like Pelé, Lothar Matthäus, or Andrea Pirlo. Unsurprisingly, they're expensive. To get one, you'll either need to spend a huge number of coins or strike it lucky in a pack.
An Icon always has full chemistry in its natural position. However, it only boosts team-mates if they share the same nationality. For all others, it has no additional chemistry effect.
Why Heroes are just as useful?
Heroes are based on iconic moments from players' careers and come with unique league-specific chemistry. They give all players in your squad a small nationality boost, and a bigger one for their league.
Since squad building often revolves around shared leagues, this makes Heroes more valuable than ever. Together, Icons and Heroes are some of the best cards you can add to your dream team. Building such a squad is still the ultimate goal - with coins, SBCs and smart trading paving the way.
Make the most of Evolutions
Evolutions let you upgrade cards in Ultimate Team by completing objectives. You can boost their overall ratings and stats up to three times per active evolution. Skill moves, weak foot, work rates, play styles and secondary positions can also be improved.
Not every card can be upgraded, though. Each UT season introduces new evolution slots with specific requirements - for example, only players in a certain position can be improved. Even so, evolutions are a fun feature that let you develop your own players and give them a personal touch.
Since FC 25, you've been able to run several evolutions at the same time and thus level up more players in your team more quickly.

How to Play UEFA Champions League in FC 26?
May 18, 2026more >>The UEFA Champions League in FC 26 is not a single standalone mode. Instead, it is spread across different parts of the game, depending on how you want to play. Once you know where to look, you can recreate everything from quick matches to full European campaigns.

Tournament Mode (Closest to Classic UCL Experience)
If you want a structured Champions League-style competition without committing to a full season, Tournament Mode is your best option.
How it works?
You can create a custom competition by selecting top European clubs and setting up a format similar to the Champions League. This usually means group stages followed by knockout rounds.
It takes a few minutes to set up, but once it is done, you get a clean, focused tournament run without dealing with league fixtures or long-term squad management.
Why use this mode?
You want a full UCL-style run without Career Mode
You want control over which teams are included
You want to simulate your own version of the competition
Kick Off (Quick Matches)
Kick Off is the fastest way to jump into a Champions League-level match.
How it works?
Select two licensed European clubs, pick a stadium, and start playing. While it is not a full tournament, you still get high-level matchups with strong atmosphere.
Perfect for recreating big fixtures like:
- Real Madrid vs Manchester City
- Bayern Munich vs PSG
- Barcelona vs Inter
It is simple, immediate, and ideal if you just want gameplay without setup.
Career Mode (Full Champions League Experience)
Career Mode is where the Champions League feels complete. This is the only mode that gives you the full structure, calendar integration, and long-term progression.
How to access it?
Start a Manager Career and choose a club qualified for European competition. Once the season begins, Champions League matches will appear automatically in your schedule.
What you get?
- Group stage draw and fixtures
- Home and away knockout rounds
- Full competition progression
- Official presentation and atmosphere
If your club is not qualified, you can still reach the competition by finishing high enough in your domestic league.
Why this is the best option?
It is the only way to experience the Champions League as part of a full season. Squad rotation, injuries, and fixture congestion all play a role, which makes success feel earned.
Ultimate Team (Indirect Champions League Experience)
You cannot directly play the Champions League tournament in Ultimate Team, but the competition still shows up through content.
During the season, you'll see special items tied to European competitions, especially live promos where players upgrade based on real results.
Examples include:
- Road to the Final style items
- Knockout-themed promos
- European competition objectives and SBCs
It's not a traditional tournament mode, but it connects Ultimate Team to real Champions League performances.
How the Champions League Format Works in FC 26?
The structure stays close to real football:
- Group stage followed by knockout rounds
- Two-leg ties in early knockouts
- Single-match final at a neutral venue
Matches are spread across the season, which makes squad depth important, especially in Career Mode.
What Actually Decides Your Success?
Winning the Champions League in FC 26 is not just about having the best players. It comes down to how you manage pressure, rotation, and match situations.
- Group stage gives you room to recover
- Knockout rounds punish mistakes immediately
- First legs often decide how risky the second leg becomes
Treat every phase differently and you'll go further.
