MLB The Show 26 Hall of Fame Legends & Flashbacks Collection Predictions | Carlos Beltrán, Andruw Jones, and Best Preparation Strategy

    Jul 24, 2026

On July 26, 2026, a new Hall of Fame celebration will take place in Cooperstown, New York. At the same time, MLB The Show 26 will introduce the brand-new Legends & Flashbacks Collections, along with a group of elite 99 OVR player cards.

Legends & Flashbacks Collections have always been extremely challenging. Even experienced players may need to invest a significant amount of resources to complete them. You can start preparing in advance, but even if you cannot finish the collection immediately, you will still have access to many powerful new cards.

MLB The Show 26 Hall of Fame Legends & Flashbacks Collection Predictions | Carlos Beltrán, Andruw Jones, and Best Preparation Strategy

Legends & Flashbacks Collections Reward Predictions

2026 Hall of Fame class has three inductees:

    • Carlos Beltrán
    • Andruw Jones
    • Jeff Kent

Although Jeff Kent is currently not available in MLB The Show 26 because the official team does not have his rights, meaning he is unlikely to be added, the arrival of Carlos Beltrán and Andruw Jones is almost certain.

The official team will likely release a free Andruw Jones Program and a Collection for Carlos Beltrán. Both players are center fielders and are expected to have elite Diamond Shield defense. As a switch hitter who can bat from both sides of the plate, Beltrán may be more appealing to some players.

    Important Series

In Legends & Flashbacks Collection, players usually can only skip one Voucher. However, this collection is confirmed to allow at least two skipped Vouchers, with the possibility of skipping three.

Some series will become the biggest obstacles due to their limited card quantities or restricted acquisition methods. Therefore, you can strategically choose which collection series to skip.

    2026 All-Star Series

99 OVR Cody Bellinger requires collecting 60 All-Star Series cards, and the difficulty is undeniable. Most players likely have not completed this collection. If it becomes one of the requirements for Legends & Flashbacks Collection, skipping it may be the better choice.

However, if the requirement is Yordan Alvarez instead, the difficulty will be much lower. Since All-Star Program has introduced many additional cards, obtaining him should be much easier.

    Spotlight and Topps Now Series

These two series are usually among the most difficult collections. However, the game will continue adding new cards through Programs and Events. As long as you patiently accumulate them, completing these collections will only be a matter of time.

Jolt Series and The Negro League Series

Jolt Series and The Negro League Series are must-complete collections. Make sure you collect all required cards because they are almost guaranteed to become part of Vouchers needed for the collection. Jolt Series requires 50 cards, while The Negro League Series may require every card, including Josh Gibson.

    Milestone Series

Milestone Series has a moderate difficulty level because many new cards have been added. The predicted requirement is collecting 16 out of 18 cards. Many of these cards are free and non-tradable. If you do not have Troy Tulowitzki, you may need to acquire Bryce Harper or Rafael Devers through trading.

    Contributor Series

If you do not already own Babe Ruth, skipping this series is recommended. Babe Ruth is currently no longer available through normal methods, and his market value has reached hundreds of thousands of MLB The Show 26 stubs, making this collection much more demanding than regular series.

    Signature Series

Signature Series will create problems for many players. If no new cards are added, you will need both Albert Pujols and Al Leiter.

If you skipped the Signature Series last time, you may now be forced to deal with these two difficult cards. The only hope is that the official team adds new Signature cards before the collection launches. Otherwise, completing this series will become extremely challenging.

    Awards Series

Awards Series is expected to require collecting 39 out of 41 cards, making it another difficult collection. Many high-value cards are included, but it is still worth attempting because the value of many Awards cards has already dropped significantly, giving you a chance to complete the collection.

    Postseason Series

Competition for this series will be extremely intense. The previous requirement was 12 cards, but this time it may increase to 13 cards, and the final collection could require nearly every card.

The key cards are two high value Chase cards: Giancarlo Stanton and Lance Berkman. You will likely need at least one of them.

    Standout Series

Standout Series only received one additional card, Andy Pettitte. The predicted requirement is collecting 10 out of 11 cards.

If you have not completed Yankees collection, you may need to collect every card except Pettitte.

    Marketplace Preparation

If you own high-value cards such as Jordan Walker and are still far away from completing the entire collection, it is recommended to wait and observe.

After the new collection launches, these highly demanded cards will likely rise in value. Selling them later at a higher value can help you recover resources faster and finish the collection.

If a card's current market value is already close to its lowest point, acquiring it can be considered safe. For example, 90 OVR Scott Rolen Awards card has little room to decline further, and it will almost certainly be required for the collection. Obtaining it at this stage carries very little risk.

Overall, Hall of Fame Legends & Flashbacks Collections will remain extremely difficult. For most players, patience and careful planning will be the best approach. Most cards will gradually become easier to obtain as the official team continues bringing back packs and content, so there is no need to rush.
