    • Why Are Players So Angry about EA FC 26 Gameplay Changes? Full Community Rant Explained

      Jun 26, 2026

In recent years, community discussions surrounding EA FC 26 have been steadily escalating, and the focus of the controversy has shifted beyond simple game mechanic adjustments to deeper issues. A growing number of voices are questioning whether this series, which has long defined the standards of football games, is truly developing or gradually deviating from players' expectations.

For many long-time players, EA FC 26 is more than just entertainment; it represents a long-standing habit and emotional connection. This is why players have much higher expectations for its quality and stability than for other similar titles.

Why Are Players So Angry about EA FC 26 Gameplay Changes? Full Community Rant Explained

However, when the frequent adjustments to FC 26's game mechanics create a significant gap between the actual player experience and reality, this long-accumulated trust and emotional connection are amplified into disappointment and controversy.

      Update Pace

In the current Ultimate Team mode, loyal FC series players have gradually lost motivation to participate. The reason isn't just a single gameplay issue, but the overall pace of change is too frequent; a single patch can completely alter the game experience.

FIFA 26, by constantly releasing Promos and Evolution content, makes players feel outdated if they don't play for a short period. This design intensifies the pressure of participation rather than pure competitive enjoyment. In this environment, even players who enjoy FUT 26 will gradually switch to other modes, such as Career Mode or other football games, to reduce the psychological burden.

Furthermore, with the continuous expansion of EA FC 26's card system, evolution mechanics, and other content, new cards are constantly being released and old cards are quickly becoming obsolete, diluting the value of your invested time and FC 26 Coins. Some players even believe that this design encourages continuous spending rather than providing a purely competitive experience.

      Gameplay Changes

EA FC 26 has shifted from its original fast-paced, high-scoring matches to a system that emphasizes defensive AI and physical confrontation. Mechanics like R1 dribbling were very strong in the early meta era, allowing players to enjoy fast-paced, high-scoring games. However, after subsequent FUT 26 patches strengthened defense, matches became slower and more reliant on AI positioning, thus diminishing the overall experience.

The biggest point of contention in the community right now centers on the increased emphasis on overall defensive AI. When AI defensive assistance becomes too strong, it diminishes the value of manual ball control, reading passing lanes, and seizing the right moment for tackles.

This design makes player defense overly reliant on automatic system decisions rather than player input, thus weakening the skill gap. This change directly affects the game's controllability.

While real-world football does lean more towards tactics and defense, FIFA 26 should aim for a more exciting emotional experience, such as breaking through defenses, long-range shots, and skillful dribbling - all highly responsive elements. Players want clear feedback of competitive spirit, not an uncertain win-loss experience hampered by AI or system mechanics.

However, obliterating AI assistance must be nursed, as this would also affect the game experience for novice or casual players. EA's challenge lies in striking a balance between showcasing skill and ease of use, rather than simply removing assistance altogether.

Furthermore, players believe that FC 26 needs to reduce the dominance of playing styles and place more emphasis on core attributes of player cards, such as vision, shooting, and power. This would increase the differentiation between players and shift the game mechanics from attribute stacking to more long-term team characteristics.

      Communication Differences

Comparing FC 26 to eFootball and another football game, GOALS, a key difference lies in the speed of communication. In some emerging football games, development teams adjust mechanics based on community feedback in a short time. For example, if an overly strong defense leads to a decline in the attacking experience, a hotfix patch is often released quickly to correct it.

GOALS responded to player feedback and planned hotfixes within 48 hours of an update. In contrast, the main dissatisfaction with EA FC 26 focuses on the lack of transparency in communication and update pacing. Some key updates generate a lot of negative feedback after release, but the developers rarely explain or respond immediately, instead waiting a long time before releasing new patches to fix them.

This delayed fix pattern makes some FC 26 players feel that problems are being ignored for a long time, even affecting the continuity of FC series experience.

      UI Optimization

The user interface and menu feedback in EA FC 26 are among the most criticized aspects by players. Early FIFA games - especially FIFA 21 to FIFA 23 - had a more consistent visual style, even if they weren't perfect in terms of speed and structure.

FUT 26's current UI design focuses on modular content and a live service panel, which may feel cluttered and lack the feel of live sports broadcasts. A simpler layout, faster navigation, and a more distinct visual theme would likely be more effective in improving user retention than most gameplay tweaks.

From the perspective of FC 26 players, the core demands are not complicated: clearer control feedback, a more stable game pace, and a more transparent update communication mechanism. If these fundamental experiences cannot be balanced, no matter how many iterations and upgrades EA FC series undergoes, it ultimately cannot regain the trust players have placed in the series over the long term.

    • EA FC 26 Glory Hunters to Feature Powerful Cards with Customizable PlayStyles and PlayStyles+: How to unlock them within a week?

      Jun 25, 2026

As the World Cup schedule enters the final stretch of the group stage, the in-game Ultimate Team celebrations in FIFA 26, which have already seen several promotional events, are reaching their midpoint. This Friday marks the launch of the third promo: Glory Hunters.

This event brings a new batch of player cards with special boosts, but it also serves as a reminder to wrap up Greats of the Game promo quickly so you don't miss out on any players you haven't yet acquired.

Below, we outline the key details of Glory Hunters promo to help you maximize your FC 26 gains within the limited time available.

EA FC 26 Glory Hunters to Feature Powerful Cards with Customizable PlayStyles and PlayStyles+: How to unlock them within a week?

      Glory Hunters release date

As part of FUT 26 World Cup celebrations, this promo consists of two teams released in stages. Team 1 launches this Friday, June 26, and runs until the following Friday, July 3. Team 2 will follow immediately, concluding a week later on July 10.

Although both teams fall under Glory Hunters banner, each is only available for one week. Aside from specific SBC or Objective reward cards, these players can only be unlocked during their respective weeks; once the period ends, opening packs will yield cards from the next promo instead.

Furthermore, two additional promos await after Glory Hunters concludes, ensuring there are always goals to strive for in FIFA 26 right up until the World Cup ends.

How to obtain Glory Hunters player items?

Glory Hunters player cards generally fall into two categories based on how they are obtained: standard cards and fixed rewards. The latter are earned by completing specific SBCs or Objectives.

Standard cards can be obtained through packs or the transfer market. Packs can be earned by completing SBCs (Squad Building Challenges) and Objectives or trade for them in the game store using points. Naturally, pack rarity varies, and securing higher-tier packs increases your chances of better rewards.

However, even high-tier packs do not guarantee a specific desired player due to the randomness of drop rates, making the transfer market a crucial alternative.

Players will list duplicate or unwanted FIFA 26 Glory Hunters cards on the transfer market, allowing you to purchase exactly the ones you need.

Note, however, that these transactions are typically conducted using coins. To avoid the situation where you find a card you love but lack the necessary coins, you can buy FC 26 coins in advance at M8X.com.

Even if you miss the initial Glory Hunters event window, cards will probably remain available on the market, though they may need more coins than during the promotion itself. This makes having a sufficient coin balance even more important.

As for completing SBCs and Objectives, veteran players are likely already familiar with the process. SBCs set specific requirements, and you simply need to build a standard 11-player squad that meets those criteria.

Objectives operate as a more extensive system; a single overarching objective often comprises multiple tasks. You earn partial rewards for completing individual tasks, but the ultimate reward is only unlocked once every task is finished. Promotional player cards frequently serve as these ultimate rewards.

It is also worth noting that some objective tasks now offer FoF Tokens as a reward. This is a special currency used during the World Cup celebration event, allowing you to redeem rewards, including more packs, in a limited-time store.

      Confirmed Team 1 Lineup

The lineup for FC 26 Glory Hunters Team 1, set to launch this Friday, has already been leaked. If any of these players catch your eye, be sure to prepare early and work towards acquiring them over the coming week using the methods mentioned above.

      Standard Cards:

      • Lionel Messi
      • Neymar Jr.
      • Ousmane Dembélé
      • Virgil van Dijk
      • Bruno Fernandes
      • João Cancelo
      • Federico Valverde
      • Moisés Caicedo
      • Thibaut Courtois
      • Yassine Bounou
      • Ayase Ueda
      • Kevin Danso
      • Josip Stanišić
      • Okafor
      • Crysencio Summerville
      • Çağlar Söyüncü
      • Andrés Cubas
      • Roberto Alvarado
      • Marko Arnautović
      • Mohammed Kanno

      SBC & Objective Reward Cards:

      • Vozinha
      • Kim Seung Gyu
      • Cristian Romero
      • Donyell Malen
      • Anthony Gordon
      • Kai Havertz
      • Breel Embolo

If you follow football, you'll recognize plenty of big-name stars in this lineup. Even if your current squad is already formidable, these cards are worth adding to your collection!

What makes Glory Hunters player cards special?

To encourage participation, promotional player cards are usually more powerful or feature special boosts unavailable on standard cards. Glory Hunters promo specifically selects players who have excelled on the real-world pitch and equips them with customizable PlayStyles and PlayStyles+.

All FUT 26 player cards, whether standard or special promotional versions, come with a set of attributes indicating the player's proficiency in various areas, such as pace, stamina, and more.

While most stats correlate with a player's real-world abilities, PlayStyles and PlayStyles+ are an exception. They function more like game-exclusive bonuses that can provide surprising advantages in specific match situations.

PlayStyles and PlayStyles+ function similarly, but the latter further enhances a player's animations, speed, and success rates.

PlayStyles and PlayStyles+ available in FUT 26 fall into categories such as shooting, passing, ball control/dribbling, defending/physicality, and goalkeeper-specific traits; however, their specific effects are fixed.

In contrast, Glory Hunters player cards allow you to customize PlayStyles or PlayStyles+, enabling you to build a unique player, or even an entire squad, and unlock unprecedented advantages and diverse gameplay possibilities.

That covers the key details of FUT 26 Glory Hunters event. SBCs and Objectives offering packs and new cards will be updated continuously once the promo begins, so be sure to keep track of them and complete them! Best of luck to you and the World Cup team you support (if you have one)!

    • EA FC 27 Career Mode Complete Wishlist: From Free Transfers to Dynamic Home Screens | Can These Fixes Save the Mode?

      Jun 23, 2026

Even with three months until release, players are already eagerly anticipating Career Mode in EA FC 27, as the current Career Mode in FC 26 fell short of expectations, consistently revealing areas for improvement.

So, what should FC 27's Career Mode look like to be considered a satisfactory solution?

      Starting Setup

FC 26 had significant limitations in customization during the initial Career Mode setup. Therefore, greatly expanding the freedom of initial settings in FC 27 would be a crucial improvement.

Specifically, FIFA 27 should allow players complete autonomy in choosing their starting age and initial ability values, creating challenging scenarios of varying difficulty.

Simultaneously, all legendary players should be unlocked in the character pool for immediate selection, greatly enriching the starting character choices and providing players with sufficient motivation each time they start a new Career Mode session.

EA FC 27 Career Mode Complete Wishlist: From Free Transfers to Dynamic Home Screens | Can These Fixes Save the Mode?

Immersive Main Menu and Dynamic Backgrounds

Furthermore, EA FC 27 should ideally move beyond its current static and unimmersed main menu design, introducing a dynamic background environment that changes based on the player's real-time status.

For example, if a player is at home, the menu background will display the player's residence; if the player is playing outside, the background will switch to the landmarks of the city where the match is taking place.

If FC 27 can refine these subtle visual changes, players will be able to continuously perceive their character's location or story stage.

The upper right corner of the menu could also display an indicator of the player's current location. This information could be closely linked to the storylines of the player's sponsors, triggering exclusive marketing event cutscenes, seamlessly integrating the player's off-field life details into the entire interface, and enhancing the narrative immersion.

      Transfer and Contract Mechanisms

FUT 26's player transfer and contract mechanisms have been a heavily criticized aspect, especially its unreasonable goal-achievement evaluation system.

Even if a player scores 40 goals in a single season, they will still be considered to have failed if they haven't completed a certain number of bicycle kicks. Therefore, EA FC 27 should design a completely new agent system based on realistic logic, making transfer feasibility strictly dependent on multiple factors such as the target club's squad needs, player value, salary budget, and the intensity of competition for the same position.

For example, logically, Real Madrid, already possessing Mbappe, would not be interested in another top striker.

Furthermore, the new mechanism should restore the right to free transfers, allowing players to fulfill their existing contracts by refusing to renew, thus joining their desired teams at a lower transfer fee or even for free at the end of their contracts. If FIFA 27 can achieve this, it will greatly enhance the depth of negotiations.

During contract negotiations, cutscenes similar to those in Manager Career Mode could be introduced, allowing players and clubs to negotiate salaries, contract lengths, and various terms. Features such as random club offers should also be reinstated, as the lack of these elements severely diminishes the realism of transfers.

      Off-Field Player Life

In Ultimate Team mode, FC 27 coins are the core of team building, while the salaries earned by players in Career Mode have almost no practical use. Therefore, a complete Career Mode must include rich content about players' lives off the field, giving their high salaries and commercial value a real purpose.

Therefore, FIFA 27 could consider adding a sponsor tier system. As a player's reputation increases, sports brands and cross-industry companies will actively seek partnerships.

Each sponsor would not only provide players with jersey and equipment restrictions but also trigger cutscenes, social media interactions, and significantly increase the player's income streams.

Going further, introducing a complete lifestyle store system is also possible, allowing players to unlock real estate, luxury cars, and luxury goods with their salaries. Furthermore, these elements can be actually presented in various cutscenes, linking their consumption behavior to the characters.

      Internal Competition Among Players

In EA FC 26, a player's status and playing time within the team depended solely on the head coach's satisfaction rating. This easily led to extreme situations where a player started every game if the head coach was satisfied and remained on the bench if the coach wasn't.

To change this in FC 27, a simple solution is to introduce a more refined team ranking system. This system should comprehensively consider a player's current ability, recent performance, and relationship with the head coach, further refining the competition order for each position.

This means that even if a player's performance dips slightly, they can still get playing time if their direct competitors are in worse form or have lower ability.

Furthermore, EA FC 27 should incorporate more realistic squad rotation logic. Top players shouldn't be overexerted with energy in unimportant cup matches, but rather substitute players should be given valuable experience.

Furthermore, to improve this system, player ratings should be reset when a club changes coaches, forcing all positional competition and tactical adaptations to start afresh, introducing numerous variables.

For example, a player might benefit from a new coach's tactical system and be reborn, or lose their starting position because of tactical incompatibility.

      Matchday Experience

FC 27 could definitely consider adding a pre-match warm-up segment to Matchday, allowing us to control the players as they practice in a gradually filling stadium, enhancing the immersive experience of the match.

FC 27 could also try designing a smart fast-forward mode to solve the problem of players just waiting around when they don't have the ball to play.

When the ball is far enough away from your character that you can't immediately participate in attack or defense, the game should accelerate appropriately until possession returns. This would make the game more fast-paced for players, saving considerable unused time.

So, this is the ideal design for Career Mode in FC 27. If these features could be implemented in FC 27, it would definitely attract a large number of new players!

    • FC 26 1 of 10 88+ Historical Player Pick SBC Guide - How it Works? | Costs and 10 Top Players Explained

      Jun 22, 2026

On June 21st, EA SPORTS FC 26 officially launched a new SBC - 1 of 10 88+ Historical Player Pick, which will run until July 5th.

The 1 of 10 88+ Historical Player Pick can be considered the ultimate gambler's challenge in FC 26 to date. Players must discard older players to obtain one of ten players from a pool whose overall rating is all 88+. The player pool is drawn from high-scoring players from all in-game special events before April 17th.

Let's explore the specific gameplay of the 1 of 10 88+ Historical Player Pick and how to obtain more card draw opportunities with minimal sacrifice.

FC 26 1 of 10 88+ Historical Player Pick SBC Guide - How it Works? | Costs and 10 Top Players Explained

      Core Gameplay

The main gameplay of FC 26 1 of 10 88+ Historical Player Pick can be summarized in two words: discarding and selecting.

      Discarding

Players need to build three lineups with different ratings for the lineup challenge. The players in these lineups must have an overall rating of 88+, 89+, and 90+ respectively. The 88+ and 89+ rating teams must each contain at least one TOTW, TOTS, or FOF player. The costs are 20,300 FC 26 Coins, 25,800 Coins, and 39,100 Coins respectively.

Upon successfully building a lineup, players will receive one Jumbo Gold Pack, one Premium Electrum Players Pack, and one Gold Players Pack. Furthermore, all players in the lineup will permanently disappear from your club and cannot be retrieved. Therefore, careful selection of players is crucial, and the following guidelines can be followed:

      1. Prioritize Free Players

Prioritize using 2-3 untradeable cards obtained free from FC 26 event. This allows you to use cheaper basic gold cards for the remaining slots, saving at least 30% in costs.

      2. Clear Out Your Inventory of TOTW/TOTS Cards

Find those early-drawn, now infrequently used, non-tradable TOTW and TOTS cards in your club. If you don't have them, don't blindly auction them on the market. Instead, check FC 26 for ongoing 83+ TOTW to SBC upgrades. Use your existing low-score cards to upgrade to an 88+ TOTW card yourself, saving 20,000-30,000 Coins.

If you don't have enough usable obsolete or low-score cards but still want to open card packs, you can buy FC 26 Coins from M8X.com and auction them on the game market.

      Selection

Use players from three lineups as keys to open the packs. You will receive a 1 of 10 88+ Historical Player Pick special pack in the shop's pack section, which you can open.

Opening the pack reveals all historical special events from FC 26 before April 17th, such as TOTY, Winter Wildcard, and Future Stars. Ten Icons and Heroes players with an overall rating of 88 or higher are randomly selected from these events.

You can choose one of these ten players to add to your club, while the remaining nine will be returned to the player pool. Note that all players drawn here are untradeable and can only be used in matches or added to the latest Evolutions.

The good news is that you can repeatedly draw 1 of 10 88+ Historical Player Pick special packs by building three-rated lineups multiple times, with no limit on the number of times. The only requirement is that you discard enough cards to obtain them.

So, are the players in the 1 of 10 88+ Historical Player Pick special packs worth it? We will demonstrate using the ten best players currently available as an example.

      Top 10 Players

      1. Ronaldo Nazário

From a historical event, 94 OVR. Excels in ST and CF. Possesses top-tier R9-level explosiveness and shooting ability. Subsequent upgrades further address his weaknesses in stamina and physical duels, bringing him closer to his full potential.

      2. Pelé

From a historical event, 93 OVR. Excels in CAM and CF. Possesses top-tier all-around attacking attributes and five-star technical ability. With enhancements, his physical stability and midfield resilience improve.

      3. Johan Cruyff

From a historical event, 92 OVR. Excels in CAM and CF. Possesses top-tier off-the-ball movement and elite ball control. After optimization, his speed, impact, and physical duels are more balanced.

      4. Diego Maradona

From a historical event, 96 OVR. Excels in CAM and RW. Possesses top-tier dribbling agility and short-range breakthrough ability. Upgrades improve his overall stamina and defensive involvement.

      5. Zinedine Zidane

From a historical event, 91OVR. Proficient in CAM and CM, possessing top-tier long-passing and long-range shooting abilities. After enhancements, his movement efficiency and defensive coverage are even smoother.

      6. Ronaldinho

From a historical event, 95OVR. Proficient in CAM and LW. Possesses top-tier fancy skills and creativity. After adjustments, his sprint rhythm and physical stability are more valuable in actual combat.

      7. Gullit

From a historical event, 93OVR. Proficient in CM and ST. Possesses top-tier all-position adaptability and all-around offensive and defensive attributes. After enhancements, his weaknesses in agility and finesse are further reduced.

      8. Eusebio

From a historical event, 92OVR. Proficient in ST and CF. Possesses top-tier finishing efficiency and acceleration. After improvements, his pivot ability and physical confrontation performance are more complete.

      9. Paolo Maldini

From a historical event, 91OVR. Excels in CB and LB, possessing top-tier defensive positioning and one-on-one interception abilities. After optimization, his high-post defensive adaptability and speed issues have been improved.

      10. Patrick Vieira

From a historical event, 91OVR. Excels in CDM and CM, possessing top-tier defensive coverage and physical strength. With an enhanced system, his passing and forward runs are more balanced.

In short, when choosing one out of ten, only two principles need to be followed:

      1. Focus on players with high overall ratings: such as Ronaldinho, Eusébio, and Maldini.
      2. Find low-rated cards that perfectly fit the current evolution: This refers to finding mid-to-high-strength player cards that can be upgraded to fill weaknesses and achieve a higher level when none of the ten players have high-value cards.

Anyway, the 1 of 10 88+ Historical Player Pick can be drawn repeatedly. Even if you can't choose right away, you can simply disconnect from the network or clear background apps. Undrawn packs will be saved in the shop's unallocated items; you can choose again when you've decided.

This is a great opportunity for you to draw higher-tier FC 26 players and make the most of your resources, so don't miss it!

    • How to Get 95 OVR Samuel Eto'o Greats of the Game Icon in EA FC 26? | A single loss ends your current attempt

      Jun 18, 2026

EA Sports FC 26 has made a rare gesture by offering a free Icons card, 95 OVR striker Samuel Eto'o Greats of the Game Icon, and this card is far from mediocre; on the contrary, it proves exceptionally potent. Obtaining it, however, presents a notable challenge.

Let us first examine its capabilities before considering the obstacles the official team has put in place. Although the challenge carries some difficulty, a well-devised strategy makes it far from insurmountable.

How to Get 95 OVR Samuel Eto'o Greats of the Game Icon in EA FC 26? | A single loss ends your current attempt

      95 OVR Samuel Eto'o ST++

The official content team has endowed this 95 OVR Samuel Eto'o with incredible, lavish attributes. Whether you look at his raw stats or his Playstyle+ selection, he stands as one of the most threatening strikers available, and he would strengthen any side's frontline. Let us review his numbers:

      • Pac: 96
      • Sho: 95
      • Pas: 87
      • Dri: 94
      • Def: 55
      • Phy: 88

      Playstyle+:

      • Finesse Shot+
      • Power Shot+
      • Low Driven Shot+
      • Quick Step+

Samuel Eto'o boasts 5-star Skill Moves and a 5-star Weak Foot, so he can unleash powerful shots with either foot. Furthermore, his Finishing rating reaches 98, Composure stands at 97, Heading Accuracy at 98, Dribbling at 93, Agility at 92, and Stamina at 94. These figures mean that he excels at converting chances in the box and possesses the physical agility to weave through tight defensive lines.

Eto'o also comes equipped with an extremely practical set of Playstyle+ traits that cover almost every offensive key area. Apart from his passing attributes - particularly crossing and long passing - being somewhat ordinary, this card reaches the highest tier in finishing, dribbling, and physical duels, making him a near-perfect striker card.

How to obtain 95 OVR Samuel Eto'o?

This 95 OVR Samuel Eto'o Greats of the Game Icon ranks among the finest strikers currently available, and you can acquire him at little to no cost. Nevertheless, the official team has set a challenging series of tasks for that purpose. To claim this top-tier player card, you need to complete an Objective Group consisting of ten individual tasks.

You must work through all the following tasks one by one in Festival of Football Gauntlet, with each task offering its own reward:

      Objectives Requirements Rewards
Round Runner Play 5 matches in the event 20 FoF Tokens
Hat Trick Win at least 3 matches in a single round (complete once) 30 FoF Tokens
Double Down Win at least 3 matches in a single round (complete twice) 85+ Rare Gold Players x4
Triple Crown Win at least 3 matches in a single round (complete three times) 86+ Rare Gold Players x5 and 1 of 2 89+ Rare Gold Players
Quad Strike Win at least 4 matches in a single round (complete once) 1 of 4 88+ Rare Gold Players and 1 of 4 89+ Rare Gold Players
Double Quad Win at least 4 matches in a single round (complete twice) 85+ Rare Gold Players x10
Quad Dynasty Win at least 4 matches in a single round (complete three times) 86+ Rare Gold Players x5 and 1 of 2 89+ Rare Gold Players
Perfect Round Complete 1 perfect round 1 of 4 88+ Rare Gold Players and 1 of 4 89+ Rare Gold Players
Double Perfect Complete 2 perfect rounds 90+ Rare Gold Players x4
Triple Perfect Complete 3 perfect rounds 88+ Rare Gold Players x7 and 93+ FOF PTG Team 2 Players x3

How to Complete a Perfect Round?

The first seven tasks allow for losses, since you can simply retry in subsequent rounds to meet their requirements again. Only the final 3 Perfect Round tasks demand a flawless run - that is, winning all 5 matches within a single round.

You have four entries into this event in total. Each time you enter, you must secure five consecutive victories. A single defeat ends that attempt and consumes one of your entries.

The difficulty of these 5 opponents is not evenly distributed. In most cases, the first four opponents will be noticeably weaker than you, so you can handle them relatively comfortably. However, the fifth opponent has a very high probability of being a player of equal or even greater skill, and this match represents the biggest hurdle of the entire challenge.

Moreover, those four relatively easier opponents do not always appear in the first 4 matches; their order can be shuffled. As long as you can win that one closely contested match, completing a Perfect Round remains within reach.

      Squad Building Strategy

To maximise your chances of success, pre-match tactical preparation and squad assembly are just as important as individual ability.

The challenge requires that your match squad contain 5 players sharing the same nationality. Yet those five players can all be placed on the bench rather than in the starting eleven. Therefore, you can first build your strongest starting lineup and then fill the bench with five players from a single country. This approach satisfies the requirement without undermining your starting squad's quality in any way.

Because you need to complete five rounds, and the squad locks after each round, you will actually require 5 different line-ups (11 starters plus substitutes), with no duplicate player cards. For the average player, assembling five balanced teams may prove somewhat demanding.

Fortunately, FC 26 currently offers many high-value SBCs such as Alexia Putellas, Paquetá, Pedro Neto, and others. These cards boast solid attributes and can be completed with only a small amount of FC 26 coins and low-rated fodder cards, so you can use them to fill out your squads.

Additionally, do not overlook the high-rated loan players sitting in your inventory. For example, the loan version of Paolo Maldini or other Icons obtained through beginner or season challenges - even with only a handful of matches available - can make a decisive contribution in critical games.

Finally, distribute every usable player you unpack from reward packs, regardless of their overall rating, sensibly among these five teams. Even seemingly ordinary players, when deployed correctly, can perform well against weaker opponents.

In summary, acquiring this 95 OVR Samuel Eto'o Icons card for free is a demanding but richly rewarding endeavour. For players with a reasonable skill level, handling the first four opponents is rarely an issue; the real test lies in winning that pivotal fifth match. Never underestimate your rivals, and approach every game with full focus - that is the key to success.

    • EA FC 27 Release Date and Career Mode Changes: What Should Players Expect?

      Jun 17, 2026

As EA FC 27 draws near, discussions about the new title are heating up. According to current information, Ultimate Edition is expected to launch in Early Access on September 16th, while the standard edition is projected to officially launch on September 25th. This timing continues EA's recent tradition of releasing football games.

EA FC 27 seems to be attempting to reshape the player experience on a deeper level. However, for many long-time fans of the series, the key to FC 27's success isn't its technical specifications. For years, the most requested and controversial feature has been Career Mode.

EA FC 27 Release Date and Career Mode Changes: What Should Players Expect?

Players expect more than just more realistic matches; they crave a football world filled with storytelling, challenge, and emotional engagement. Based on current information, EA seems to be finally prioritizing this core requirement.

      Dynamic Weather Mechanism

The most anticipated system is the dynamic weather mechanism. It's said that the weather in FC 27 will no longer be a fixed pre-match setting but will change in real time during the game. For example, a sunny winter match might suddenly turn into a snowstorm or downpour in the second half.

This change not only affects the visual presentation of FIFA 27 but could also affect player movement, ball control stability, and tactical execution, giving each match a unique rhythm and risk.

If this design is ultimately implemented, it will significantly enhance the long-term replayability of career mode, as you can no longer rely on fixed optimal tactics or use FC 27 Coins to acquire so-called meta players to complete the entire season.

      TRACAB Animation Technology

Secondly, the introduction of TRACAB animation technology is considered one of the core technologies of FUT 27. This technology is already used for data collection and tactical analysis in real football leagues.

In FIFA 27, this technology is expected to further improve the fidelity of player movements, translating motion data collected from proper matches into more realistic game performance. Whether it's the details of body power during shots, off-the-ball movement habits, or the signature dribbling moves of different star players, all are expected to be presented with greater accuracy.

If the final result meets expectations, the long-standing issues of repetitive AI player movements and lack of individuality will be significantly alleviated. Different types of players will not only differ in ability stats, but will also exhibit more distinct individual characteristics in their movement styles, rhythm choices, and on-field performances, further enhancing the realism and immersion of EA FC 27.

      AI Technology and Graphics Enhancement

Meanwhile, AI technology and graphics enhancement have become important upgrade directions for FIFA 27. Nvidia's latest generation DLSS 5 will be adapted to EA FC 27, improving overall visual performance through real-time AI rendering, including grass details, player facial textures, jersey dynamics, and stadium density.

While some players worry that AI enhancement will change the original visual style, from an industry perspective, this real-time graphics upgrade has gradually become a standard technology for sports games.

      Player Demands

However, despite the radical technological upgrades in FIFA 27, the development focus remains on a core issue: whether the gameplay has truly improved. For many veteran football game players, career modes in FC series seem increasingly detached from the emotional experience of a footballer's journey.

You can score a hat-trick, win a league title, lift Champions League trophy, and even win Ballon d'Or, but after a short while, the animation abruptly ends, returning you directly to the menu. However, EA once created The Journey, a mode that successfully showcased player personality, storytelling, and immersion.

This story-driven mode accompanied players from FIFA 17 to FIFA 19, witnessing Alex Hunter's legendary journey. It created a feeling of being in a vibrant football world. Every achievement was meaningful through dialogue choices, media interactions, sponsorships, relationships, and cinematic moments.

In contrast, the current career modes in FC series often feel like a series of menu-driven matches. While the core gameplay remains fun, the surrounding experience lacks the personality that once made a football career unforgettable.

The Journey proved years ago that football games can transcend matches and statistics. It showcases how storytelling, interpersonal relationships, media attention, and career development can transform a simple sports game into a memorable football experience.

As FC 27's popularity continues to rise, players aren't demanding a complete overhaul of the career mode from EA, but hoping that FUT 27 will revisit previously successful creative ideas. If these features return, FC 27's player career mode will finally recapture the individuality, immersion, and emotional depth that many fans have craved for years.

The official announcement of full information is not far off. Currently, EA FC 27 development team is still in a high-intensity adjustment phase. Reports indicate that they are continuing to refine the career mode system and match pacing balance, while some voice commentary and content teams have entered the post-production recording and adaptation stage.

With September release window gradually becoming certain, the player community's anticipation for a full trailer and gameplay demo is rapidly increasing. In the coming weeks, the official team is likely to gradually release more detailed information about the career mode, and whether this installment can truly break through the series' limitations will be a key factor in determining its reputation.

    • Why has the recent EA FC 26 Gauntlet update sparked dissatisfaction? Casual modes are a hit with players during the World Cup!

      Jun 16, 2026

The kickoff of the 2026 World Cup has drawn a new wave of players to the virtual soccer game EA FC 26; the game's The World's Game mode, which simulates the World Cup format, and other related updates are well worth experiencing.

However, recent changes to other classic FUT 26 modes have been disappointing, particularly the adjustments made to Gauntlet mode. There are also reports that in-game advertisements might be introduced.

Honestly, this news could negatively impact the fresh interest the World Cup has generated for the game. So, are these reports true, and what would it look like if they were? Let's take a closer look.

Why has the recent EA FC 26 Gauntlet update sparked dissatisfaction? Casual modes are a hit with players during the World Cup!

      What is FUT 26 Gauntlet?

This mode is one of the many ways to play Ultimate Team; it is a non-elimination tournament that primarily tests the depth and diversity of your club's squad, think of it as an upgraded version of an SBC that actually involves playing matches.

Each round of FIFA 26 Gauntlet mode requires you to complete a series of consecutive matches. For every match, you must field a completely different starting XI and set of substitutes; in other words, any player used can only appear once per Gauntlet round.

Although the squad requirements are strict, you receive basic rewards upon completing a round regardless of the match outcome.

Naturally, the more matches you win in a round, the better the rewards, such as more FC 26 coins or player cards with higher OVRs.

It is also worth noting that while a Gauntlet event spans several days, you can only participate in one round per day.

What are the recent issues with Gauntlet?

With the launch of Season 8, Gauntlet entered the new Festival of Football phase, featuring a Samuel Eto'o player card as the ultimate reward.

To obtain him, you must achieve a perfect round three times during the current phase of Gauntlet mode, a feat that requires winning five consecutive matches.

While completing this grants you not only Samuel Eto'o but also an 88+ Rare Gold Player and a 93+ Path to Glory Team 2 Players Pack, the process demands a significant investment of time and effort. In reality, unlocking most rewards in FoF Gauntlet mode relies heavily on winning.

Play-based objectives have been relegated to the bonus category, while standard objectives are exclusively competitive challenges, the exact opposite of previous iterations, where requirements like win streaks were typically reserved for bonus rewards.

This means the competitive intensity of Gauntlet mode has skyrocketed; yet, despite these grueling objectives, EA FC 26 has actually placed limits on the number of attempts allowed.

While the rewards are enticing, the immense competitive pressure can actually sap your motivation to earn them.

In the past, players of all skill levels could enjoy Gauntlet mode and earn decent rewards. However, the recent string of challenges has either offered diminished rewards or demanded extreme competitiveness, making the mode just as stifling as other Ultimate Team modes.

Is there room for Gauntlet to improve?

Interestingly, if you are familiar with the patterns of EA FC series, you might have suspected, back when the game launched and Gauntlet experience was excellent, that it would eventually be altered beyond recognition. It seems that day has finally arrived.

Regarding these unnecessary changes and the resulting player backlash, the development team responded on social media by stating that other Festival of Football events already offered plenty of accessible, low-barrier content.

Consequently, they chose to ramp up the difficulty of Gauntlet mode to cater to players who crave a competitive experience.

Regardless of whether this reasoning is convincing, it appears that the positioning of specific weekly game modes in FC 26 is not set in stone.

In other words, if the developers decide later that the game's overall competitive intensity should be lowered, Gauntlet might revert to its previous state.

However, even if adjustments based on the current FC 26 experience were necessary, Gauntlet shouldn't have been the target. It had run smoothly for six months since launch and was a mode that casual players genuinely enjoyed.

With the World Cup currently underway, FUT 26 is attracting more players, yet many have less time to dedicate to the game because they are following the real-world tournament.

The original Gauntlet mode was the perfect fit for these players, but that dynamic has now been destroyed. It must be said that unless further adjustments are made soon, FIFA 26 risks losing its player base once the novelty of The World's Game update wears off.

What's the deal with the ad integration?

Recent reports indicate that the developers of FC 26 have assembled a new advertising team to embed ads into their titles, starting with their sports games.

The official line is that dynamic ad placement will integrate advertisements with actual gameplay, aiming to enhance rather than disrupt the player experience. However, the answer to who the true beneficiary is goes without saying.

More importantly, FC 27, expected to launch in the second half of the year, will feature a new open-world mode called FC The Grounds, offering a city environment for players to explore freely.

Naturally, a city setting makes it much easier to incorporate advertisements than a standard stadium or training facility.

While in-game advertising shouldn't be dismissed out of hand, any misstep could lead to a total collapse of player trust. All we can do is wish FIFA 26, and the titles that follow, the best of luck.

Despite some potential issues, the World Cup content currently available in FUT 26 is well worth experiencing. Plus, a new Ultimate Team promo, Greats of the Game, launches this Friday! Stay tuned!

    • FC 26 The World's Game Update Meta: Why 4-2-1-3 Is the Best Formation for FUT Champs Right Now

      Jun 15, 2026

Following the release of FC 26's June 4th The World's Game Update, the overall competitive environment underwent its most significant change this season. Many players quickly noticed a marked shift in the familiar game rhythm.

This change was particularly pronounced in high-level matches. High-pressure tactics that previously dominated opponents began to show weaknesses, and systems relying on AI-assisted defense were no longer as stable as before.

FC 26 The World's Game Update Meta: Why 4-2-1-3 Is the Best Formation for FUT Champs Right Now

As players continued to test and adapt to the new The World's Game meta, more and more high-level players began to re-examine tactical settings, player choices, and formation selections. 4-2-1-3 Meta Tactic once again became one of the most discussed formations in EA FC 26 community.

      Formation Advantages

4-2-1-3 Meta Tactic not only balances midfield control and wing attacks but also maintains good formation integrity in the current FUT 26 environment that emphasizes a balance between attack and defense.

Whether facing high pressing or counter-attacking tactics, 4-2-1-3 formation is highly adaptable, making it one of the most stable choices for climbing the ranks among many high-level FUT 26 players.

Of course, the formation itself isn't the key to victory. What truly influences FC 26 match results is how you adjust player types, tactical instructions, and game strategy according to the recent changes.

      Tactical Settings

First, in terms of defensive style, the most crucial shift is from Advanced Defending to Tactical Defending. Before The World's Game Update, Advanced Defending was very useful because it allowed you to choose between shoulder tackles or attempting standing tackles.

Unfortunately, after the update, EA FC 26 nerfed shoulder tackles, rendering Advanced Defending meaningless. Automatic tackles relying on specific defensive styles are now almost impossible to trigger, leading to decreased defensive stability.

Tactical Defending relies more on basic button controls. Compared to FIFA 26's AI automatically determining tackling or interception methods, this approach allows for more consistent and controllable player behavior. For most players, this method is not only easier to learn but also more in line with the current FC 26 system's decision-making logic.

Regarding focus selection, compared to overly aggressive counter-attacks or high-pressing tactics, Balanced is more suitable for 4-2-1-3 formation in FC 26 after The World's Game Update, maintaining wing play without disrupting the backline structure.

As for defensive intensity, in most cases, a 4-2-1-3 formation only needs to maintain moderate pressing. Adjustments can be made based on EA FC 26 match situation to cope with the opponent's pressure or when trailing.

      Center-Backs

In terms of center-back player selection, FIFA 26 meta trend has also changed. The past is over-reliance on Bruiser Playstyle is weakening, replaced by higher requirements for center-back physique and build.

Currently, taller, stronger center-backs have a greater advantage in FUT 26 duels, able to perform defensively even without relying on a specific style of play. The optimal combination is lengthy, quick-step, interception, and anticipate; such players are more competitive to chase speed and defensive coverage.

Niklas Süle is an excellent choice for the center-back position in EA FC 26, possessing exceptional physical strength, consistent tackling and interception abilities, and a well-rounded defensive style.

      Midfield

In midfield, 4-2-1-3 double holding midfield system doesn't require two purely defensive players, but leans towards all-around midfielders who excel in both attack and defense. The ideal configuration includes players who can intercept, advance the ball, and pass.

Players with the ability to organize passing, through balls, and short passes, while also possessing defensive awareness and tackling ability, are better suited to the fast-paced environment of FUT 26 after The World's Game Update. This allows for smoother transitions between defense and attack.

      CAM

In FC 26, CAM position emphasizes attacking efficiency over technical skill. In the current FIFA 26, skill-based actions are less important, while a player's basic acceleration combined with ball control for dribbling is more effective.

Therefore, players with strong and weak-foot ability and consistent shooting are more valuable in 4-2-1-3 Meta Tactic. Players with long-range or curling shots, in particular, can create more attacking opportunities.

      Wingers

The role of wingers is more clearly defined in FC 26. Cutting inside to finish attacks is the mainstream tactic. Speedy wingers remain important, but the core is not just speed, but the combination of Rapid Plus and Finesse Shot Plus.

Cut into the penalty area after creating space on the flanks and finish with a curling shot; this is currently a highly efficient scoring method in FIFA 26. The best winger in 4-2-1-3 formation is Pedro Neto, and Lionel Messi is also a good choice. However, Lionel Messi is more expensive, requiring 129,1000 FC 26 Coins, while Pedro Neto offers better value.

      Forwards

The forward position in a 4-2-1-3 formation emphasizes the all-around abilities of FC 26 players. They need to be able to participate in teamwork and possess balanced shooting ability with both feet to adapt to attacking opportunities from different angles. A combination of technical dribbling skills and low shots, as well as curved shots, makes the forward a threat both inside and outside the penalty area.

      Full-backs

The coordination between full-backs and the overall formation is also crucial. Some FUT 26 players choose rotating full-backs, allowing the left and right flanks to alternate in the attack, thus maintaining a balance between offense and defense.

You can also choose inward-positioning full-backs, having them move towards the center to increase defensive density in the middle and reduce the risk of being penetrated by through balls. Both approaches have their advantages, depending on your attacking tendencies and defensive habits in FC 26.

After The World's Game Update, FC 26 will further test your understanding of formation structure, player characteristics, and the rhythm of attack and defense transitions. 4-2-1-3 formation has become the most popular Meta Tactic at present because it achieves an ideal balance between defensive stability, midfield control, and attacking efficiency.

If you are looking for a tactical system that balances stability and potential, now is the perfect time to try this 4-2-1-3 Meta Tactic.

    • FC 26 Free La Pulga Evolution Is Insane: Best Wingers to Turn Into Elite Attackers

      Jun 12, 2026

La Pulga Evolution launched in EA FC 26 on June 11th at 6 PM. This is one of EA's best free evolution programs recently, providing five upgrades to RM or RW player cards, boosting speed, dribbling, and shooting abilities to elite levels without spending any coins.

La Pulga is the nickname of the famous player Lionel Messi, and it's easy to see that this free evolution in FC 26 Ultimate Team pays homage to his legendary playing style. This article will bring you the relevant information you need to know about FUT 26 La Pulga Evolution. Let's take a look.

FC 26 Free La Pulga Evolution Is Insane: Best Wingers to Turn Into Elite Attackers

      Specific Requirements

Before you put your player card into the evolution system, make sure it meets all the requirements. The evolution will not activate if any of the following conditions are missing:

Position restriction is the biggest limitation. This evolution is designed for wingers, so your strikers and CAMs cannot use it.

Before entering FUT 26 transfer market, you can check your club. Several popular promo RM and RW cards released earlier this season have an overall rating slightly below 90, making them ideal for use here.

      Mechanics

FC 26 La Pulga Evolution consists of five levels. Each level requires playing one match in at least Semi-Pro difficult Squad Battles mode (or Rush, Rivals, Champions, or Live Events mode) using your currently active evolved player to unlock.

Here is a complete description of the upgrades for each level:

      Level 1 Upgrade

      Best Player Recommendations

The 90 overall rating cap means you need to carefully consider which version of a player to use. A base gold card with an overall rating of 87 will have more room for improvement than an upgraded card that already has an overall rating of 89. We've listed the best player choices in FIFA 26 that meet these requirements for your reference.

      • Lionel Messi (TOTY Honorable Mentions) - If you own him, this is undoubtedly the best choice; he's a card with top-notch dribbling fundamentals.
      • Tom Bischof (World Tour) - This is a very cost-effective card, perfectly suited to his position.
      • Yeremy Pino (Future Stars) - This is an exciting young card; Level 1 speed boost makes him a real threat to opponents.
      • Dembele (Ultimate Scream) - This is a winger with decent base stats; his level 3 Precision Shot+ playing style perfectly suits his style.
      • Kaka (Trophy Titans) - Considering his position, this is an unconventional choice, but if your card meets the requirements, level 3 Passing upgrade will increase the player's creative dimension.
      • Sterling (FC Fantasy) - This is a reliable mid-tier card with no obvious weaknesses at max level.
      • Giuly (Ultimate Birthday Hero) - An underrated choice; the balance and agility boost at level 4 perfectly complements his characteristics.
      • Debinha (Ultimate Scream) - If you want a truly competitive women's football card at this level, this is definitely worth considering.

If you don't already have these cards, you can buy FC 26 Coins from M8X.com to trade for the player cards you want. This will provide you with the fastest and safest way to acquire them.

This concludes the article about La Pulga Evolution in FUT 26. This evolution project can be unlocked and completed for free, but you can only evolve one player through La Pulga Evolution, and this content will end two weeks after it goes live in the game. Players who want to participate should seize the opportunity and not miss it. We look forward to your success.

    • EA FC 27 Gameplay Feels Better: But Here is Why Fans aren't Celebrating Yet

      Jun 11, 2026

Guys, are you also confused by all the leaks and rumors surrounding EA FC 27, feeling both skeptical and shocked by the early details? We can't confirm the veracity of those leaks from early beta testers, as EA often makes significant changes to content before the final release.

Some of the leaked gameplay, system changes, and card pack animations seem quite believable. Now, let's analyze the feedback from players who participated in FC 27 early beta.

      Early Gameplay Experience

According to feedback from early beta testers, the basic gameplay structure of FIFA 27 has actually shown some positive changes.

The ball-handling tackling mechanism has been optimized, the ball bouncing repeatedly between players has been removed, and movement feels smoother than in the early days of FC 26.

In terms of interception, the interception success rate significantly improves when the player-controlled defensive player can accurately read the opponent's passing lanes.

This sounds like a straightforward design choice, but in FC 26, even with Intercept+ ability, the ball often bounced off players as if hitting rubber. Therefore, any improvements to this system are welcome, although testers felt it wasn't yet at its ideal level.

Passing has also become cleaner and crisper; players no longer need specific passing styles to complete basic passes. This should have been standard in football games, but in 2026, we should celebrate being able to pass properly.

The bad news, however, is that through balls are expected to remain highly effective in FC 27. For years, with very few exceptions, the through balls mechanic in EA FC series has almost always been unbalanced, and FC 27 doesn't seem to have fully fixed this issue.

Players who participated in the testing specifically requested a reduction in the threat of through balls during counter-attacks. Hopefully, EA will truly listen to feedback at the start of FC 27's release, rather than waiting until six months later when most players have already left before releasing a patch.

EA FC 27 Gameplay Feels Better: But Here is Why Fans aren't Celebrating Yet

      Core Hidden Danger

However, FC series' consistent pattern is what's truly worrying: the game felt okay at the beginning of its release, but as various abilities were gradually introduced, the whole game quickly ceases to resemble a football match and transforms into a card game.

For example, your Intercept+ can directly negate any attempted pass from the opponent, and the game is no longer about football tactics, but about who has the better stats on paper.

Unless FC 27 can completely solve this core problem, all gameplay improvements will be in vain.

      Walkout Pack Animation

Leaked information suggests that FUT 27 Walkout pack animation will be presented from a drone's perspective, starting from the center of the field. The drone on the left reveals the player's nationality, and the drone on the right reveals their league. Then, a hundred small drones in the sky spell out the player's position icon.

The camera then flies to the VIP area of the field, where players walk out and display their cards.

This raises a very valid question: EA invests a significant amount of effort and budget in the entertainment value of Walkout pack animations, while the actual gameplay experience feels like it's stuck in the same place.

The community's reaction has been quite sharp: no matter how flashy the animation, a 78-point silver card player that no one wants is still a 78-point silver card player that no one wants, regardless of the number of drones.

      Major SBC System Adjustments

EA Sports FC 27 is testing two important changes to SBC system, both of which are quite solid ideas.

First, you can now submit duplicate players piling up in your club to the same SBC. This is a feature the community has been calling for these years, and although it's a bit late, it's ultimately a good thing.

Second, a completely new point-based SBC system. Each player card is assigned a point value. SBC no longer requires precise chemistry combinations, but requires players to reach a specified total number of points.

The system also offers a one-click completion option, where the game automatically selects suitable cards from your club to fill SBC. It's important to note that the traditional SBC mode is said to coexist with the new system, but EA's long-term goal is likely to gradually phase out the traditional mode. They'll keep the new system as an alternative until players get used to it, then quietly remove the old system.

The problem is that the fun of SBC used to lie precisely in building player rosters and constantly searching for high-value players. For many players, the appeal of SBC lies precisely in these brain-intensive processes.

If everything is simplified to reaching a point threshold and pressing a button, the entire experience becomes completely thoughtless. While some players may appreciate this convenience, it blurs the lines between intelligent players and those who simply spend FC 27 coins on the game.

      Gallery System

It's worth mentioning that EA is testing a new feature called Gallery, which is essentially a collection system where players can submit cards from their clubs for rating. Better cards receive higher ratings, resulting in better player or cosmetic rewards.

Here's a truly interesting twist: once you've unlocked a player, even if you later sell them or use them in SBCs, that player is permanently saved in your collection. This means the same player can be contributed to multiple different collections simultaneously.

The concept itself isn't flawed; it makes the pack-opening process more meaningful because the cards don't disappear from your history.

However, it must be pointed out that this is essentially another system designed to make you want to open more packs.

To fill these collections, you ultimately need to have unlocked those specific players, and EA knows that an incomplete collection creates a psychologically frustrating sense of incompleteness. Seeing five empty card slots will inevitably tempt you to open packs to fill them.

It's a very clever, calculated design, strikingly similar to the collection logic of Pokémon cards. But hardcore football fans who just want a proper football game will probably only ask: What has become of FIFA 27?

Based on all the leaked information so far, FC 27's gameplay is just a slight improvement on the broken foundation. Let's be optimistic; hopefully, FC 27 can truly become a very fun football game.
